OK so everyone is rapped around an axle on what the "PROPER" name should be..... :bang:

Motor Trend, "Cobras are two-seat roadsters built by Shelby American during the 1960's", "Mustang sold from 1965 through 1970 that bear Shelby's name never were called Cobras".

I hate to say you're wrong but.......Here's some new car ads from 1968 and please note they say SHELBY Cobra GT :dunno:

[attachmentid=16211] [attachmentid=16213]

BTY Motor Trend on the Ford Media site It's called "Ford Shelby Cobra GT500"

http://media.ford.com/products/presskit_pr...vehicle_id=1269

Look if someone has to ask "What is it?" Just reply "FAST!" :-D

Like I said...ask 5 vintage GT350 owners what they call their cars, and you'll get 5 different answers.

A Thread exactly like this just got closed. It is the Shelby Cobra GT500. Ford and SVT both call it that. No more discussion needed.

I still think COBRA needs to go away from Mustangs.

Looks at calender, yep its not the '60's anymore.

Also, I think you mean wrapped around the axle, unless you stuck a 50 Cent CD to your rear axle. :jester:
