GREAT SHOTS!!!

Any details on any of the vehicles?

Scothew 11/1/05 11:37 AM

Lets try to keep the pics strictly car related please. Moved to SEMA forum.

acadian 11/1/05 11:38 AM

Nice pics! Is the first car from 3DCarbon?

rrobello 11/1/05 11:49 AM

first sorry I forgot about the copyright stuff, yeah I found them at autospies, unfortunately I wasnt able to make it up to SEMA this year, I am totally bumbed out about it, oh well I might be able to get up one night for an after hours party though

the first pic of the 05 looks like it has the 3D carbon kit on it but I dont think they had plans on taking anything other than their V6 vert as far as Mustangs go. They did say they were taking some other cars

and side question if this gets moved to the SEMA section then shouldnt the pics just be SEMA related and not just CAR related, just asking because there is much more to SEMA than just cars

Scothew 11/1/05 12:04 PM

While you have a point, this is a family site, in which girls, blatently showing more skin than average is not entirely appropriate.

Other than that, feel free.

acadian 11/1/05 12:05 PM

I have to agree with you Richard. And there is much more to TMS than just Mustangs. It's about people here too... especially scantily-dressed ones with pretty hair and nice legs. :D

acadian 11/1/05 12:08 PM

Yeah, now that I look at the pics again... that jean skirt sure is short. But hey, her knee-high boots make up for it, right? :jester:

The ones I left in the group of pictures are fine. Lets just say that if the world can see what they are wearing under their shirt, pants, and/or skirt, it is not appropriate. Sorry to be the bad person here, but its the way we have always tried to run the site, and it won't change now.

ok and thats fine, I understand that it is a family site and feel free to edit I am not angry or offended in anyway that I was edited I just didnt feel the pic was out of line, just playing devils advocate here for a second I have seen more risque pics posted on this site then that one, and to say that she is "showing more skin than average" I guess would depend on what you are use to, here in socal that girl would be way overdressed....lol, even the teenage girls tend to wear more revealing stuff on a daily basis (not saying its right, but it is more than the norm and as adults we should all be used to it by now), do you get offended when you go to the beach and see girls in next to nothing bikinis???? and again just playing devils advocate here.....to be told that a pretty girl who is fully clothed posing by a car (which is her job as a model) is not entirely appropriate by someone whos advatar says "Vjaggra Does A Body Good" which is promoting sex just as much as that model is, is kind of ironic.....dont you think??????

thats not the pic thats in question it was edited out of my post, of which I dont really care, but I was just asking.

acadian 11/1/05 12:27 PM

I'm sorry, I'm an idiot. I thought some pics were missing, but still suffering from a hangover I got from a Halloween party last night... so couldn't add 2 and 2 to get 4. But Scott, I'm totally messin' with you. Forgive my bad humor. You are no bad guy... just doing your job. I'm trying to make light of the whole thing.

Edit: I had to edit some mispellings. The keyboard is kinda blurry... :drunk:

Scothew 11/1/05 12:29 PM

Since it had to be an issue... rrobello, please check your PM's for my reply. No need to clutter this thread up anymore.

Ian, I removed 1 pic. If you wish to find it, look at the source link I added to the top of his post and it shouldn't be hard to find.

Personally I have an issue with it as well. I've seen pictures of women and bikini's and such on this site. I checked all the pics on that page and saw nothing alarming. Same kind of stuff if I see with my family at the beach. This is a Mustang site not the Disney site so lighten up a little. Cars and hot women go hand and hand! :)

where can I find up to date photos from SEMA? Or is there some place they are posted at the end of each day?

Scothew 11/1/05 01:47 PM

I'm sure some of the automotive sites will have them out by the end of the day. By the end of tomorrow, I am sure we will have quite a few from our sources at the show. :nice:

PIKE2244 11/1/05 01:49 PM

Thanks. I appreciate the heads up. Since I am not going to be there I want the next best thing!

some info not just pics.....

For performance enthusiasts who want to race on the quarter-mile, Chevrolet offers a solution: the Cobalt Phase5 Drag Racer. The individual components of this front-wheel drive race car – many of them available from GM Performance Parts – have been designed for straightforward installation, enabling racers to customize their vehicle as budget and time allow.
The Cobalt Phase5 Drag Racer is powered by a 500-horsepower 2.2-liter Ecotec engine, and mated to a race-prepared Hydra-Matic 4T65-E automatic transmission. All of the modifications made to this drag race Cobalt are detailed in the GM Sport Compact Build Book, which is available through GM Performance Parts dealers or online at www.gmtunersource.com.

Vehicle Highlights

* Unitized body and frame with roll cage
* Turbo-charged 2.2L Ecotec I-4 engine producing more than 500 horsepower
* Modified Hydra-Matic 4T65-E 4-speed automatic transmission
* Modified Cobalt strut-type independent front suspension with aftermarket coil-over springs and adjustable struts
* Modified Cobalt SS semi-independent torsion beam rear suspension with aftermarket ride height adjustment

http://www.gminsidenews.com/naias/SEMA/cobaltb2.jpg

Like all Chevy SS vehicles before it, Cobalt SS represents affordable, fuel efficient performance. In its Wide Body configuration, this special Cobalt stretches styling to the corners. Wheel opening flares, rocker extensions, extended fascias and a 64 mm track give Cobalt Coupe Wide Body a ready-to-pounce appearance. Further reinforcing this hunkered-down look is a suspension that is 1 inch lower in the front and 1.3 inches lower in the rear than its production counterpart, as well as 18 x 7-inch Asanti AF123B aluminum wheels shod with 225/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.

Vehicle Highlights

* Wide body styling with new front and rear fascias, fender flares, rocker extensions and rear wing
* ITW capless fuel fill system
* Asanti AF123B aluminum wheels with 225/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires
* Wider track with wheel offsets
* Decah vertical doors hinge kit
* Modified headlamp housing, lenses and color
* Lowered ride height
* Silver multistage exterior paint
* SPARCO EV0 3 seats
* Refaced gauges
* Retrimmed interior
* Stage II 2.0L SC engine with 241 horsepower and 215 lb.-ft. of torque
* 5-speed manual transmission

OMG...YOU CAN SEE THEIR NECKS! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, NO.

:scratch: you guys need to lighten up...the picture of the chick in a bikini top and a white pants was NOT obscene at all, and worth the lecture and removal.

Go to any beach, and you see the same thing or worse. :rolleyes:

that hummer is totally ridiculous, i mean, i'd understand making something totally impractical if it looked cool, but lowered trucks just don't look cool to me after a certain point. The bike underneath it is incredible though.

The link for the Motor Trend coverage has a Roush Viper. I thought he was pro ford all the way.

JessicaRabbitt 11/4/05 05:46 PM

The first pic of the blue GT is the West Coast Customs GT.

I cant believe how these pics really dont do these cars justice. The color is a purple Sonic Blue. Its not a hint of purple, its most assuredly a purple blue, and its beautiful.

3D did the body on it. Very sweet indeed.

hi5.0 11/4/05 06:58 PM

:worship: KSS Ford GT! Me likey! Also like that 3D Carbon (?) Mustang hood. Is that Ford GT destined to race somewhere or is it simply a show car? Who wouldn't love to see Ford at Le Mans again or just taking it to the Europeans or even the Japanese in JGTC? Would be awesome instead of "just" a 40th Anniversary Gulf Oil (SE) GT.
