Do you think Ford will wait until Chevy releases final price on Z06? And in reverse, do you think Chevy would like to wait to hear price of GT500 from Ford before releasing Z06 price numbers?
I'm usually an optimist. However, I'm starting to have my doubts of owning a $40,000 GT500 next year. :shame:

Well I personally don’t think the Z06 should have any bearing on when Ford releases the price of the Shelby. If the Shelby is the same price as even the base Vette I would buy that before getting the Mustang, and I don’t think I’m the only one. Ford needs to keep the price as close as they can to the past Cobra to retain those repeat buyers.

Yeah, I'm a tight wad (not willing to pay MSRP), so I'm having my doubts too about getting a GT500 anytime soon.

I need a new thread on here about the new GT350, or new Mach 1, or new Boss (something between the GT and GT500), to keep me going.

I don't think I'm going to get a GT because I know I will regret it if a Mach 1 comes out. That hood (GT's) looks like it has been designed for a shaker.

Anybody got in inside scoop on the next SE? I'm desparate so make something up if you have to ;) . I've also started looking at Steeda as an option too.

<Sigh>

The last Cobra was a kick-hiney car, and they had trouble selling it for anywhere near MSRP. If Ford is smart they'll remember that. Part of the reason of course is that they made so many of them, but it's also very expensive for a Mustang. Can't forget the target audience...
