Yup. For me, remove the stripes off the top and sides, shelby off the back. I don't like the wheels. The motor is nice. Would want scoop or louvres on the 1/4 windows.

It looks like they took the concept, GT (supercar), GTR and the stock GT (mustang) and smashed it all together. Like the rear bumper, don't try to make it look like the GT (supercar). It's a mustang! And no cool taillights. Once again, the car is cool, but I thought it would more cool looks wise.

I love just about every year of Mustang and virtually every model. But, IMHO stickers are much better than some of the things we have had to live with on Mustangs in the past. At least SVT, Cobra, or Mustang are not engraved in giant block lettering into the rear bumper. Overall I think this car is extremely tasteful, and likely the best looking pony since 1968.

I will be curious to see how much the die-hard SVt faithful shun the cars Shelby badging, For me there is simply no comparison. I love SVT but saying Shelby is like saying Ferrari, the legend and the cars are just incredible.

I think the wheels ROCK! I didn't think I'd like the Shelby thing, but this car is suweet! I'm wondering about the mule with the IRS though...

Well, it could be using a diffuser in the back like the GT does to clean up aerodynamics.....you know...that old idea of function. And, a diffuser looks like......a diffuser. This is not a design element with a lot of room for variety.

Guess this solves the question of the engine ... it is the Triton V8, not the Ford GT engine.

With the stout cast-iron, 5.4-liter Triton V-8 engine as a starting point, the Shelby Cobra GT500 adds a screw-type 8.5-pounds-per-square-inch supercharger and water-to-air intercooler.

Basically what that means is the block is cast-iron instead of aluminum, nothing more. All of the internals look to be GT spec. as are the heads and blower.

The GT 500 in this picture does not have painted mirrors. Would have been nice if it did!

Beautiful wheels, and 19's at that!!!!!!!!!!

That should be a great upgrade for GT owners.

And the engine from the sound of it might as well be the engine out of the Ford GT, give or take a few parts........Wait till this thing gets a tune and pully change.........look out, great news today!!

I am just shaking to find out the price though, if it is anywhere near 35K, I will put my money down NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They wanted the car to look like the 60's stangs. That's why you have the stripes, rocker stripes, and the SHELBY on the trunk. I love that look. Now just need the white lettering on the tires. However, with 19's, probably not enough room.

I'm guessing because it's a 2005 show car. The production car will be a 2007.

I'd say there's a good chance on the half-painted mirrors. The recently released Lincoln version of the F-150 has the top half of the mirrors chromed. It's the same idea.

More than 450 horsepower. Hopefully this will be underrated like the 03/04 models.

14 inch cross drilled front discs 13 inch rear discs sound great.

I like the wheels actually much better than any other 05 offering at least. Im glad they didnt tack on non functional scoops too.

Great looking aluminium hood.

Ill be first in line to get one and the first to take off the rocker stripes after that it will be perfect for me.
