Lightning!
Hey all,
We had some thunderstorms this weekend, and while I was trying to get the settings on my camera right, look what I got! http://lh4.google.com/Cavero427/RtDz...0/DSC_3599.jpg |
Nice photo!

I love it!! Love the streamer coming up from the bottom on the right side, that is cool!! Science in action.

One of the coolest pictures I've ever seen :nice: |
An awesome lightning capture.
very cool!
I just made that my desktop, very cool.
Very cool! I'm wondering if the blue bolt on the right isnt' an internal reflection (upside down) of the main bolt, and not a streamer.
the top looks an awful lot like the bottom fork at the tree-tops. Just a reflection off the lense maybe? I could be wrong though, I'm no scientist. No matter what, its a really cool picture. Now I wish I had had my camera last night coming home from a late night at work, looking at the lunar eclipse. |
That is true, but I would think if it were a lens reflection, it would have the branches coming off the main bolt too. It does look very similar though...
:dunno: I had a UV filter on the lens to protect the glass from the rain. Maybe it's reflecting back on that?:dunno: I don't seem to remember seeing the blue bolt when I took the photo, but I was looking at the bolt in the sky

Awesome shot, thats a almost once in a life time capture. I've never been able to get lightning on my D50, I think mainly because I've only tried doing it hand held while looking through the viewfinder. Next good storm im setting up the tri-pod and using wireless remote.
