Does anyone know when the v6 manuals will start being delivered, and has anyone in the San Diego area ordered one for less than MSRP?

I ordered a v6 premium at MSRP and was wondering if there are any Ford dealers in San Diego that would be willing to do the $500 over invoice thing.

Thanks for the info....

I have one on order as well but I'll be getting x-plan price. About delivery, they won't start production on them until November 29th. I was hoping that was just a round figure and that they might start them sooner until someone posted that they were put on hold on purpose. So, I wouldn't expect it until mid to late December.

I heard John from AAI say in another thread they will start making them in Jan. I will look for the thread and post it if I find it.

January???? My V6 Premium order went in yesterday after being on hold for the IUP for a week. I had originally requested an automatic but decided to go with 5 spd manual when we firmed it up yesterday. I'm waiting now to hear from the salesman regarding factory acceptance of the order.

You all don't understand how mad I will be if they wait until January. I'll probably start looking for something else, for God's sake. Volvo S40 anyone? That would seriously anger me beyond belief.

It has been a known fact on this board (and BON) for quite a while that Ford was purposly holding back production of "5-Speed V6's" until late November / Early December. I see no reason for them to move this up reguardless of how many are pre-ordered. Yes it would be nice for those of you in this situation, but I would not count on it !!

A dealer stating a delivery date as "sometime in January" is just doing the smart thing and covering his A** !! It is better than a salesman telling you what you would like to hear ... I.E. any sooner.

I didn't know the delivery date was to be January. That's very reasonable. And I have decided to wait it out. I knew that if I got something else, the first tiem I saw an 05 I'd regret the decision.

I talked to a dealer today, one of GAs largest, and I was informed that any order would be in in 6 weeks. He said something to the effect of an ordered stang is a sold stang.

I was informed today by my dealer that the v6man were on hold and i would be lucky to get it in 8 weeks. My father who works at ford told me that the Iup are on hold because they are behind on leather seats. ALL MAN TRANS ARE IN GT'S. :bang:

I just ordered mine today, dealer said it will take about 10 weeks so I am looking at late January to take delivery, possibly the first week of Feb for California.

Word is that 80% of all V6 will be built with the Auto Trans.

Roush and Saleen took most of the current alotment of 5 speeds in both V6 and V8 trim.

I ordered Champion white with the exterior sport package, alarm and interior upgrade package. $20,410 no dealer premium.

Dealer said other dealerships are already putting 3k to 4k premium's on all special orders.

Resellers are selling GT's here in California for $15K over MSRP due to limited availability (currently none in California) and leads on special orders will not be delivered until April.

Can't wait for my car to be delivered.

I seriously doubt you will take delivery on your car by feb. The IUP is still on an indefinite delay for the V6's. Just a suggestion, if you take the IUP off your order, you should get the car by feb (possibly) and you could go aftermarket for the aluminum panels.

Well juding be the low number of people that seem to care about the V6 manual on this site, i figure not that many people have ordered them. Coupled with the fact that I ordered mine more than a month ago, if they did start building them last week, hopefully i'll get mine in a month.....i hope!

why would roush and saleen want the v6 manual?

Kenny Brown, Stteda, Saleen, and (probably) Roush had offered V6 varients of their cars in '94-04, so it makes sence that they would do the same with the 2005. A Manual trans. is probably what most of their customers want anyway plus it brings the sticker down almost $1000.

I'm still in limbo as well on my V6 Premium with manual, IUP and spoiler all reportedly being delayed. No word on build date at all but still figuring January sometime.

Dealer in California did not mention anything about IUP not being available, just that the factory is closing for two weeks starting on the 15th I believe. I spoke with the Fleet manager who ordered my car and had already ordered several custom GT's for people and was online with the Ford order system when we placed the order for my car. The only thing is there is a line hold for all 5 spd's because of the buyout from Roush and Saleen. They were expecting to be a slower pick up of the manual equipped models.

But I guess I will see this week when I get my factory confirmation of my order whats up.
