I have a 2006 4.0L v6 mustang with single exhaust does anyone know of any way I can convert my single exhaust to dual exhaust?

There are many many ways to do that. Check out the site americanmuscle.com

You can get a kit from vendors like American Muscle or you can build your own (which usually comes out cheaper). Check out youtube for a huge selection of different set ups and sounds. You can get a lot of ideas there of what you want to do with your v6. I personally like corsa and magnaflow mufflers, using resonators and no mufflers, or mid muffler systems...all using h pipes. After you get your ideas straightened out just find a reputable shop to do the install.

So my easiest route would be to find a system that I like buy it then just send it in with my car to some place that will put it on for me?

You might go to a couple muffler shops first and ask them how much they charge to do custom dual exhaust. Often times its cheaper than buying a kit.

i bought a all stainless steel h pipe kit from jba. its not cheap by any means, but after 6 yrs still really happy with it. i got the kit for $430, new gt takeoff mufflers for $80, 2 factory muffler hangers for $100 and installed it myself. they dont sell this kit i got any more, but they do sell it with 2 stainless mufflers still. ($750) i knew i would have this car a long time and wanted the stainless.

cheapest way out like said it to have something fabbed up. there are plenty of x pipe kits out there.

you`ll have to notch your rear bumper, its real easy and the plastic is soft and cuts easy. just need to measure twice, cut once

wow 750! geez thats a lot haha. I had my exhaust custom fabbed...2.5 inch mandrel bent and resonators and such at 450. I almost went the route of going with JBA but just the price of the midpipes is what scared me. Didnt even think about install or mufflers too back then. Nothing wrong with your decision but im glad i went the direction i did haha.

Nice *** !

As to OP I was able to pickup a Pypes dual exhaust conversion with GT mufflers off of eBay for around 470$ & installation was around 100$ maybe a little more.

Also I seen the title says horsepower. This upgrade is more towards looks & sound. Unless you get some long tubes. And I don't even know if then your gonna see gains

Looks, sounds and rides better

A good CAI and dual exhaust I think he should get up to around 10hp extra. Get a tuner and you can add a few more hp. That'll put you at around $1k depending what you do with the exhaust tho. It's expensive but worth it

I dont mean to jack this thread...but tax return is about here and so im going to pull trigger on exhaust.

Someone posted this, Dynomax Catback #39434, a while back on a thread and it sounded really good. Its only around 400 online and I know a few people with garages so I could install it myself. So, it would seem that this would be quite a cheap option. Has anyone else heard/seen this setup? Better options?

I had the exhaust shop weld up custom duals from the cats back with an H pipe Magnaflow (not magapacks) mufflers and stainless tips for $550, sounded about as good as a NA v6 could.
