Are you talking about the TB spacer or a whole TB change? If so what TB did they use, where can you get it?

If you change it out, do you need to do a tune?

i have a dyno appointment on Wednesday at DTP so i will post numbers as soon as I get them. I went ahead and put it on, so it won't be a before and after but atleast will give me good idea of where I stand now. I believe VegasJay is doing it that way though. As far as the quality of the LFP tb, it is awesome. Definetly feels like it pulls harder and throttle response seems to be improved. I don't trust not having it retuned b/c I'm sure it went a little more lean w/the extra airflow....I'll keep you guys posted.

Installed the LFP TB yesterday and let me tell you it is worth the money. The Throttle lag is gone!!! This thing really responds as you put your foot to it. Also the butt dyno says it added some power.
I didn't get it dynoed but may in the future just to be sure I'm okay with the A/F. Also this part is really made well, gears and all. Looks nice too.
Andre leaned it out a bit more since the computer reads more air and adds more fuel on its own. See the link above from Modular Fords on the dyno test.

For all you JLT CAI guys out there, you may want to check your vacuum
line from your intake. Mine had a hole in it. Never even threw a code.
The line must have been a bit to long and at high speeds it touched the upper pulley which made the hole. Just a heads up guys.

I've been driving around for a few day's now with the LFP TB installed and it is definately worth the money. I haven't dynoed it yet do to work and getting my nitrous system ready to go so I can start developing a tune for that as well on the dyno. It is a piece of art that arrives to you flawlessly CNC machined. When you take the stock gear cover off and install it on the new TB you will imediatley notice the fine craftmanship. You could almost cut your finger on the splitter inbetween the bores. I had the Jet TB spacer before this TB and it made a nice improvement in throttle response. The improvement that the LFP TB made over the Jet spacer is significant. You can feel the difference imediatley and the new ratio in the machined brass gear's eliminates once in for all any and all throttle lag! The throttle now has instant smooth response as it should of had from the factory...I have a dyno appointment for this saturday and I will run the TB first to establish a new basline for the nitrous tuning. I am expecting a 12-15 RWHP gain and about the same for the torque with the LFP TB.

Have you considered using the spacer alon with the new TB? Or, is that not recommended and will kill kittens, make baby Jesus cry, or whatever the intraweb says now?

I don't know about killing any kitten's but the Jet TB spacer is the stock bore size of 55 mm. The LFP TB is 62 mm, so you can't use the two together. I held the jet spacer to the LFP TB and it would diffinatly pose a restriction...

Ok, that sums that up. I knew there had to be a good reason, and that's about as good as it gets. Thanks.

Justin, I've been driving mine all weekend also. My car now really breaks the wheels loose from 1st to 2nd and even chirps the tires going into 3rd. Not bad for an AUTO. The car now has the feel of the old stangs with carb cables. You push on the gas and it just goes.
I don't know why they didn't do this from the factory, it makes a world of difference. I think the throttle delay is dangerous when you try to pass another car.

Yah, I think for 06 Ford should just sub-out the TB to LFP... It should have came this way.

Here comes another mod....get ready credit card Hey, can you guys point me in the right direction...I've been away from the forum a while and had not heard about this new TB! I had been wondering for some time now what diff a larger TB would make (if any) and it sounds as if you guys are happy with your LFP TB's.....what is the cost and where can I check into this?

Funny, I had ordered the Jet Throttle Spacer some time ago and it turned out they had lost my order - I had been waiting over 6 weeks for it to arrive (ah the wasted trips to the front gate every time I heard the FedExp truck go roaring by) and in the spirit of extreme disappointment - I finally cancelled the order. With the new TB - seems like I was luckt

VegasJay - have you had the chance to dyno it yet?
