In the sixties there was the Shelby GT350 and the Shelby GT500.
the GT300 decals you see on 05's are reffering to 300 hp but with a few mods, your decals no longer represent your horsepower.

I think it was Grand Touring

New or old.
Old Shelby's were GT350 and GT500

They needed the name for the car, and couldn't decide so shelby asked how far it was from 'this building to that one'
348 feet... 'Good, we'll call it the GT350'
The 500 was a bigger number for a bigger badder car....
Thats it, no horsepower ratings or anything...just numbers.

You see people with 05-06s mimic the old striping but using GT300 for the '300 hp' the car has.
Or GT500 to copy the old Shelby's.

Didn't GTO have some fancy Italian name behind it?

Gran Turismo Oligato or something like that.

And as for the GT350, I believe it was from his office to the assembly line.

maybe Grand Turismo Ogliato.

The Italians use a "O" instead of a "U".

Ciao Stefano!

I just saw the list of mods you have on your GT and was wondering: did you order the parts from US or European distributors? I'm having a very hard time finding US online stores willing to ship to EU (don't know why, since I'm the one paying the shipping anyway...).
Could you PM me some distributors' names? Molto grazie!

P.S.: sorry people, not trying to hi-jack the thread.
