okay, so we know the upside of removing your front swaybar for drag racing, but what about the disadvantages of loong-term removal? I just purchased the BMR swaybar delete/radiator support and I'm having second thoughts about putting it on...

anyone have any adverse effects from removing the swaybar permanently?

I notice that my car drives a lot different this summer than last summer without the sway bar. Last summer it still had pretty stiff/new front shocks and struts so I didn't get a lot of body roll. This spring though I take it off and I noticed a huge difference in the amount of body roll. The car is slightly wobbly at high speed which is scary when ur running slicks at 16 psi and ur going 105 MPH

I think the only adverse affect is that it gives your front springs and struts a beating because the sway bar isnt taking the brunt of the body roll anymore.

thats kinda what I fugred, but i appreciate the real-world experience.

I think I'll just find some weight-savings elsewhere and not worry about it.

thanks for the input, dustin...

do it anyways

the weight transfer to the rear is much better

weight transfer is much better for straight line racing but if you plan on taking any turns quick you will find your self in trouble ... personally i dont think its any problem using it daily driving just take it easy on turns thats all

Quick turns are fine, the car just leans a little. It's not like you're going to roll over.
