Rear wheel problem?

First let me say I would do a search on this problem but I don't even know how to explain it to search it. So I was looking at my rear rims/tires and i noticed that the drivers side rim and tire stick out a LOT farther than the passenger side. It's like the axle shifted to the driver side. I hear this can happen when you lower the car but my stang is stock. Is this "normal?" My tires are new and they have no cupping or wearing issues. She drives fine just looks odd having what looks like meats on the drivers side and skinnies on the passenger side.

look under the car, be sure the panhard rod is not bent... if it ever got spun into a curb in the snow (or hot rodding around) they can get stuffed pretty easy.

Thanks for the info Ford4V but the bar is straight. Will having the axel off center mess things up? And finally will i need to get an adjustable pan hard bar to fix this? Thanks.

Hello DPHC13,

I recommend you have your Ford dealer look into this for you. You should have them look into your Powertrain Warranty as well. It’s good for 5yrs/60k miles. Please PM me if you need further assistance.

how much is 'a lot'- like 1/4" or 2 inches?

shouldnt be off far even if lowered, 1/2" might be extreme I'd think...only thing that comes into play is wheel offset, panhard rod or its mounts, unless you got a lopsided axle
are you running stock wheels?

get a piece of string and hang it down over the center of the wheel then measure the difference side to side. I hope that made sense

I got 2 5/8 passenger side, 1 3/4 drivers side... that seems like a lot. This is measured at the center cap on my stock fan blade rims.
