Pypes Mid Muffler System and Prochamber

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/6...2900e86f32.htm

This is not my video but this is honestly one amazing sounding exhaust combo! Is anyone else running this set up? If the O/R Prochamber and the SLP's turn out to be to loud I will probably be aiming for this setup!

I have been running SLP LM's for the last 2 years but my head cannot take much more of the drone associated with them... I like it loud but the drone goes straight to the head... That set up sounds absolutely amazing and aggressive! But honestly I am sure video cannot do it justice! I am surely looking into this setup minus the long tubes...

I'm not sure about the SLP's, but I can tell you that the Pypes tips are just a simple clamp on tip.

I've been watching for a used prochamber for a while. I'd like to run that setup as well.

I use the SPL Axle back w/ the Pypes Mid Muffler system (not a fan of the Pypes tips at all). It was sure a PITA to get the SLP's over the new Pypes over axle pipes, but after a little elbow grease and some curse words I got them on and the worked out quite nice.

Cheers,

Cold

I have to have this set up! I will be ordering the mid muffler system soon! But the off road prochamber will have to wait until I get a job...

Resurrecting an old thread here to see if anyone came up with a better solution to the Pypes tips turning yellow, see here:

https://themustangsource.com/showpos...4&postcount=38

I'm running just the stock headers, cats, H, and have only had it about 6 months but they're ugly enough to require removal at this point. Definitely not just due to running an off road setup, thought that may worsen it.
May be possible to buff them out with silver polish or something similar, but not going to do that every 6 months, and besides the rolled edge looks cheap, and has a black streak where the condensation has dripped out.

I bought a set of Stainless Steel Systems's plain tips from PartsCheap for like $60 or so, they're just like these tips from their Adrenaline/Terminator series

http://www.stangmods.com/SSS-Cat-Bac...GT-p/00870.htm

And similar to these SLP:

but they're much too long, the SSS ones are about 12". The Pypes hangers are too close to the rear for these to work, so anybody wanting to buy them let me know. I did cut four longitudinal slashes into each tip and used a pipe expander as they weren't slip fit for a 2.5" pipe, so now they'll slip on and clamp easily.

I'm thinking of getting SLP tips like these at LMP that should fit better, definitely cheaper than going the full Loudmouth or muffler delete route, and shold be easier to put on, though will be twice the price of the SSS, and are only 3.5" diameter instead of the 4":

Anybody know the length of these as they might be perfect:

Since you already have the SLPs you could go another mid-muffler route. Magnaflow sells mufflers that are similar to Pypes M-80s.

For some reason SLP's images don't show up all the time.

I don't have any SLP tips, only the SSS tips that are 12" long. I'd need a completely different axle-back piece with hangers and all, and that's the expensive way.

I saw a few on ebay that I think might work, and are cheaper than SLP's, but are probably lower quality as well.
