Purge line- monitor the cold
Hello , new owner / learning here.
I added a Nitrous express proton kit. Added a long purge line -cannot be seen, cannot hear purge when motor running, purge outlet gas cannot be seen. So, for those who hide the Purge [in exhaust , in back above axle, under car], , how do you know all air is out and n2o is at solenoid ? I been looking for a week now online [Da GOOGLES] for has anyone takin a House digital thermometer Outside sensor. Put the sensor , taped on to, on the outlet tube, that gets cold. Put the display on dash, ambient at the dragway, tube outlet 80 deg on a 80 deg day. When nitrous gets to tube outlet and sensor , 50 deg ? 40 deg ,32 deg ? Now a person knows, air is out, cold nitrous is at solenoids. Shoot me your Cons n Pros ?https://themustangsource.com/forums/...es/bonk9zw.gifhttps://themustangsource.com/forums/...lies/smile.gif? Hello, Welcome to TMS, I'm Sorry I Don't Have any Direct Experience with Nitrous. From What I Gleen a Temperature Gauge Could Be Used to Find the Temp Where the Nitrous is Fully Purged. With That Being Said While Observing the Purge and Finding the Temp Where it Is you Can Have a Baseline to Know You are Good To Go. A Simple Remote Thermometer Used For Other Purposes Could Fit the Bill. Such as a Fish Tank Thermometer. Lots of Choices Out There I Simply Provide this Inexpensive One For Reference! Finding a Gauge With Proper Temp Ranges is The Kicker! Sometimes You Have to Be The First to Figure out a Fix to Things. Just Get Creative! Best Of Luck! Anybody With Some Real World Nitrous Experience Please Chime in! Just Had a Thought! Oh And If You Want to See it How About A Cheap Reverse Camera! MGB, KC |
