Lito tune

In the past couple of years I have installed an Edelbrock supercharger, Kooks LT headers and a Detroit Rocker cams. All of these came from Brenspeed along with the tunes required. The cams went in right after this past Christmas. After the cam install, the car would always die when trying to put it into gear after starting. Brenspeed repeatedly told me it was just the nature of the cams. I did have an electrical short at first, but that was fixed. Even after the fix the car would die whenever I tried to back it out after a cold start. I even installed a remote starter, so I could let it idle for 5-10 minutes so I could back out of garage. And it would still die. It would also die after restarting after a short trip. Multiple times every time coming to a light. Long story short, after finding Lito he tuned my car this week. A coupled of datalogs and and emails and not only does it not die. It drives smoother, sounds better, and pulls like a beast. Lito is the man to go to for Mustang tuning.

I'm very familiar with Lito who has a very established reputation over on S197 forums. If you have the ability for doing your own remote data logging? You simply just cannot go wrong with having Lito remotely tune your car. If only I had the knowledge along with a laptop and the software for doing my own data logging? Lito would be handling all of my tuning needs without a doubt. Therefore you can be assured that he's that good when it comes to getting a tune dialed in right the first time.

I used to be a big Brenspeed fan. I spent over $10K on parts with them. They did try to help with the short over the phone. But they really dropped the ball with the tune after the cam install. Their attitude of “ that’s just how it is with a cam” wasn’t acceptable, and since they don’t do datalog tuning, I had to find someone else. I had done datalog tuning with my Silverado, and knew the benefits. The SCT X4 came with the supercharger kit, so all I had to do is download the free software for the datalogging off of the SCT site. The job Lito did on my car was a life saver. I was actually considering putting the stock cams back in because of the frequent dying. Just here to spread the word.

I also used to be a huge Brenspeed fan as well when they still valued their customers like they used to back in the day. Problem is ever since they became instant media celebrities, every time I would call in to ask questions about my tune, a certain person by the name of Doug would always talk down at me as though I was wasting his valuable time and couldn't wait to get off the phone line. IMHO I don't care how good of a tuner Brenspeed happens to be, as none of that matters to me if they're unable to provide excellent customer service. Needless to say, I recently made the switch to JDM engineering www.teamjdm.com in which Jim Jr. will always take the time to answer all your tuning question needs and treat you as a valued customer. They'll also make any tune adjustments/revisions as needed via data logging as well. Anyhow, I also noticed reading in your post, that the SCT X4 has the ability to data log? At any rate, I also have the SCT X4 and didn't know this. So if you wouldn't mind, could you walk me through step by step how the data logging software works with the X4 and if the downloaded software provides instructions on how to data log? Thanks in advance, Rocky

Thanks, Bob, I found both the download link and video you provided by VMP as very helpful. Also, what you heard about VMP is true, as they're also highly regarded as one of the top tuning Ford 3v specialists along with Lund Racing, Lito and JDM engineering who all also provide top notch customer service :nice:

Hi, I just wanted to close the loop here and confirm that I used LIto (Manuel Pazo) for my tune recently and he did a great job. Very quick response, easy to work with via e-mail, he provide the first tune which was real good right away, and then did two tweaks based on the datalogs that I provided. Car runs great, highly recommended!
