Awesome.

I Love my C&L

So what tuning device did you go with/order, SCT2 or Predator ? You'll need one of them for any CAI.

tuner will be in 2 weeks or so with my next paycheck. looking at sct2. i will wait till i get the tuner to put it all on. but my excited side has to ask. if i put it all on without a tune, is that bad? can i damage the car? whats the worst that could happen?

I wouldn't recommend putting a CAI on without a tuning device with the proper tunes for the specific CAI installed in the tuning device.

If you plan on ordering a tuning device online instead of from a local tuner in your area, I have been Extremely satisfied with Dough at BamaChips :worship:

I purchased my C&L CAI and SCT XCalibrator 2 from him. He installed 3 specific C&L CAI tunes into it.

i could actually find a guy locally to tune the car? i was under the impression that you HAD to buy a tuner yourself. and you said not a good idea to run it without a tune. Can you be more specific?

Also maybe if i decide to go the route of a local tuner, is there anyway to find one local to me. ive never had to look before and dont know waht to look for exactly. Thanks!

First, go back to this previous Topic/Post

You do have to purchase the tuning device, i.e. SCT2 and once you install a tune into your car from it, the tuning device is specific to your car and cannot be used to tune another car without reinstalling the factory tune into your car.

If there is a local tuning device DEALER in your area, i.e. SCT2 Dealer, you can purchase it from him instead of buying it online. Go to SCT Web Site and plug in your zip code in the upper right corner to find a dealer.

If read where making changes to the engine without a tune can make the check engine light (CEL) come on, engine going into Fail Safe Mode, etc. Search this site for CEL and Fail Safe - you find come info.

Also, read my post and others post HERE

maybe a dumb question, but why do you need a TBS? What is the purpose? I heard some mention changing the MAF but others said that the later models did not require you do that.

If changing theTBS is needed how much HP gain is it or does it just increase the torque potential.

Thanks

your not changing the Throttle body spacer you are adding it. it adds minimal hp and torque but does get rid of the lag in throttle response

If you don't have a tuner, the cost of one would most likely be added into what the shop would charge.
