I've got rusty Rotors

Hi all, has anyone found a cure for the rust forming on your rotors? If the cure Is replacing rotors on my 07 gt, do I buy alum drilled, or slotted or both. I'm not looking for higher performance, just better looks. Thanks

Brake rotors are steel, they're going to rust. There are zinc dipped rotors available, but that lasts until the pads scrape the material off. Just drive it often enough so the rust won't have a chance to form.

If you like the look of slotted and/or drilled rotors, then that answers your question. Slotted are supposedly good for track performance, but don't run drilled if you track the car, they're prone to cracking.

The zinc rotors work pretty well. The part where the pad contacts the rotor will eventually rust, but rubs right off after driving for a few minutes. However the rest of the rotor won't rust and look all dingy.

Just be glad you aren't on the coast....you go to eat dinner and by the time you're done they're rusted over again. :/
