Since I cant install my next group of mods I was feeling bored with too much time on my hands so I decided to strip the paint off my 10lb bottle.
I sanded it down using various grits of paper, up to 1500, and then sprayed it with a Duplicolor shaker and then cleared to match my exterior's Redfire.
I think it came out darn nice but now it needs a new sticker.
I also got my Autolite HTzeros this past morning but I cant do anything with them until I receive that special indexer.
And while Im at it, my Ford Racing Performance Parts 410 gearset. The ring and pinion are huge and heavy, go figure.

The HT0, which I will type out as HTzero for coolness sake, is only 1 step colder with a stock gap of .045. This will be forced down to .032 for my nitrous injection application. Turbo and Supercharged cars should gap their plugs down to this too.
This is what I was waiting for in a plug, now I can "safely" attempt the 150shot jetting during a dyno tune session. I wonder if traction will become extremely limited during the hit? Even with the relocated LCAs I dont think the rear with 410 gears and stock tires will be able to hold to the pavement but Im willing to find out.
Im puting off any other engine power mods for a while now since I have to worry about the rear falling out from behind me. Im hoping that my dyno tuner will work his magic with me since he just found a large amount of torque within the controls of the Variable Cam Timing.
When I work my way up front again I'll switch out the K-member when the Long Tubes go in. Im addicted to suspension mods.

Dan,
NICE job on the bottle!!! Who makes the bottle holder?
The Zex system is really starting to tempt me.... why did you choose to go with the nitrious express system if you dont mind me asking.
I should also add nice color choice on the car

The Bottle Holder is fabbed by a Los Angeles shop, most of their business is done online with ebay.

It polishes up well too, was one of those things that helped me take 2nd place in a local car show this past weekend. My only "non-functional" mod were the hood pins, it was all the go fast goodies that people liked, especially the nitrous setup.
I did give a thought to using Zex but I wasnt thrilled with the idea that there systems cannot be expanded upon. The Purple Color is a turn off to me even though I installed a Zex kit in my friend's Lightning. IMO and many others within the nitrous world will tell you that Nitrous Express is the best around. Zex isnt bad though, people are going faster than me but thats due to a few tuning issues with the automatic. I will be up with them shortly but I may have to use a Progressive Controller.

I only use Apex for my Nitrous fillage since the price of $3/lb cant be beat anywhere else. Well, I did place 2nd in their car show but besides that I dont concern myself with them since they are an SCT tuner. I use AlteredSpeed in French Camp, CA, they are trying to get well known for their 3v tuning and so far they are starting to amaze me.
Im waiting to see if I can get a friend to install my gears, he does good work.

I know of AlteredSpeed. They were really trying to get me to get the 3D Carbon body kit at the last show. Do they tune for SCT too, or just Diablo?
Let me know how the gear install goes. I'm looking for the best price without sacrificing quality for my install. So far the cheapest, most reputable place I have found quoted me $350.

This was first place, I sware the car was purchased like this too.
AlteredSpeed is only a Diablo Tuner I believe.
I know another guy who knows a guy who does a ton of rear end installs and only charges $150 but he is down in San Jose. If the guy is quick it may be worth it.

$150 in San Jose! That's perfect for me. Does he have a shop? Or is this a side job kinda thing?

Nice job on the bottle, looks very good. Im sure u know u could find the stickers on Ebay for like 3 or 4 bucks usually, but looks nice without it. If Im not mistaken, theres several styles to choose from a few vendors.
Your so right with the purple and Zex, I hid all the purple under the hood, and eliminated it where I could. Even the purple bottle is covered in a Blue Summit bag The other is bare aluminum. Now I want to pant mine....thanks lol
