Head lights stuck on.

Something weird happened yesterday. I was going to bed and confirmed my car was locked. I hit the fob and all was well the horn honked etc. when to bed and noticed a few min later I see my lights are still on. I thought I was just a dumb a$$ and left the lights on for most of the night. I go outside and the lights were off. The light shut off when I unlocked the car with the fob.. Ok so i lock it again. Same thing. I get in the car start it and then shut it off get out and lock the car no lights. What is up???

That is weird, I'd be calling the dealership.

sounds like a wiring issue, if its factory alarm take it to the dealer, if its aftermarket take it to where you bought it, if you dont have a warranty, bust out the wiring diagrams and go from there

Have you had anything installed lately that required splicing into the wiring for the lights ? When I installed some gauges and spliced into the wiring for the light switch for the lights on them , I did it on the wrong side of the switch and it caused the lights to stay on. Because of the smart junction box , the wiring doesn't work the same on these cars ...

That is the weird part. I have changed and put anything new on the car of late. I don't have anything that required splicing.

mine has done a weird thing or two. the other day I parked turned the lights off and got out of the car, I heard the ding ding like my lights were still on or some thing like that. Closed the door and the dinging stoped. Opened the door ansd the dinging strats up again. Stuck the key in gave it a turn and back off and all was good.
Its also died out a couple of times just driving. Restart is fine.
Also my car keeps going into limp mode. So I usally pop it in n restart and the little wrench in the dash goes away. Freakin ford lol

Sounds like the SMJ Box had a brain fart.

I keep forgetting about those stupid things

I ususally leave the wiring to people that know it well.
