Have 2 08 Shelby A/T convs.1 great,1 needs tune

I own 2 2008 Shelby Mustangs GTs with A/T. 1, with 61K, runs like a track queen, The second one only 9K, runs like a V6. The 62K one came with a ProCal4 hand held unit in the trunk. Ford Racing told me they no longer support these ProCal4s.
I live in the Sarasota-Tampa FL area. I am reluctant to take the 9K car to just any speed shop because then it becomes a debate if I am not happy with the new settings.
Does anyone know how to get the settings out of the 61K car and transfer them into my 9K car? Or, does anyone have a suggesion or a solution?

Are Both Cars Simply Shelby Gt's With No Other Mods or Changes?
Did you Just Get These Cars, If So How Many Miles Have you Put on them? I'm Wondering if Low Miles Car Has Gummed Up Fuel System. Sitting is Bad for Cars!

Send Me Your Vins to Clevparts@Aol.com and I will Check Some things That Maybe Helpful.

I uploaded the ProCal 4 Instructions. It Looks Like They Still Sell These. Is it Just Support for Your Vehicle? It Also Shows Features.

The ProCal 4 tool is shipped without vehicle calibrations. The end user must register with Ford. Performance Parts (FPP) to download the ProCal 4 software

The Shelby Gt's As Sold Tune Maybe Still in the Oem Ford Database. You were supposed to be Able to have Repairs Done at the Local Dealer. I know at one Point we Had Access at the Dealership Level to the Gt-500 KR Tune. But Don't Remember ever Doing a GT. Cause That was 16 Years Ago Anyway.

So the Question is Can Your Local Dealer Reflash your Pcm to Shelby Spec's. I would Warn you Communication with the Dealer is Important. They Could End up Simply Reflashing to As-Built Specs 300Hp Vs As-Sold Spec's 319 Hp. 30+ Years at the Ford Dealership Level and I know How Things Get Mis-Communicated! As an FYI the 2008 Bullit Tune was Quite Similar to the Shelby GT and Rated at 315 Hp.

If Not I would Contact Shelby.

On A Side Note You Might Disconnect the Battery on the Slow Gt for 20 Minutes. This will Let the Pcm Reset and Relearn Drive Cycle. I would Put in Some Fuel System Cleaner and Top off With the Best Fuel you Can Get. Then Drive through a Tank of Fuel. Btw, FORD Recommends Chevron Techron Additive. What you Got to Lose! It May Help!

I bought the 61Kmile car last November with 54K miles. Using it pretty much as a daily driver. Couild not be happier.

Bought the 9Kmile car in April. Have driven it about 400 mikles. Not using it due to poor performance. No stalling,no shaking, no engine miss. It just drives like a V6.

I would Try the Suggestions I mentioned Before Just For Giggles. Be Advised Fuel Goes Bad Really Quickly These Days And If you Do the Reset & Drive after Running Fuel Out Put in Some Stabil Fuel Stabilizer before Refilling. Be Advised Most Tunes do Best With Highest Octane Fuel.

In Regards to Your Initial Question about Tuning. Your Concern Being The Tune Itself and Can it Be Copied From One Car to Another. I would Check With a Local Tuner and Ask that Question Direct. I would make it a Point to go to Next Local Car Show and Ask Mustang Participants who They Like as Local Tuners if you Don't want to Start Cold Calling.

Isn't if possible that the ProCal4 I now have still contains the flash settings? If so, how can I get them out of the Procal4 and into Car # 2?

The ProCal Has A Diagnostic Feature As Explained on Page 4 Of Instructions. It Says It Should Display Calibration Number. That Maybe Something to Help. Have you Plugged it In To Either Car? If Car Two will Display it Should Be able to Be Referenced. I might be Able to Pull OEM Specs to See if Car Two Has Stock Tune in it. I would Need Vins Emailed to Me as I had Asked Earlier to Pull Stock Calibration. If you want Send to clevparts@aol.com Also you Need to look For Any Stickers on Vehicle which Look Like They Were Shelby or FRPP add On With Calib# Numbers on Them. Something Similar to this 6ZF1G80A
