I haven't been around much lately, but I do have new 1/8-mi and 1/4-mi numbers to report.

1000’ = 9.544
1/4 = 11.472 @ 114.97, DA = 3,058'

No time slip scan, but here is a video showing the numbers

Stock, I ran 14.17 @ 101.5 at Firebird here in AZ.

firestang70 Jan 26, 2007 07:15 AM

No scanner or other fancy doo dads to post up here. But my best ET and traps are 12.74 @ 107 from 11/06. Mods are in my sig, I am shooting for 12.50s with a couple more mods. Best 60' was 1.8s I believe was a 1.85.

don_w Jan 28, 2007 02:07 PM

Here is a new personal best in the 1/8-mile, 7.084 @ 98.113. Set yesterday at Barona.

updated everyone with a timeslip

EDIT: Don, thanks for finding the error, I fixed the list

don_w Jan 28, 2007 07:42 PM

Steve, FYI... my 7.084 @ 98.113 should be in the Power Adders list, not the Mild Modifications list.

Ok sorry am having trouble uploading the picture of the timeslip. This time was run in a 2006 GT stock on stock tires 5-speed.

vsop Feb 9, 2007 09:17 AM

I hate when my best is not with a clean run. I short shifted into second and bounced of the rev before shifting to 3rd (Friggin shift light gauge was not working)

60' 1.820
330' 5.294
1/8th 8.167
mph 86.28
1000' 10.622
1/4th 12.701
mph 108.64

Mods VMP Tune, C&L Racer, ARH's LT's & O/R X-pipe, Zoomers A/B, UDP's, CMCV DP's, BMR Suspension (Tubular K & A arms, Level 3 Control Arm Package, Race Panhard bar), KW Variant 3 Coil Over setup, MT 275/40/17 DR's on 17" takeoff rims.

WOW... I just looked and that would put me in the #2 spot for bolt ons

Pro Mod Feb 9, 2007 11:35 AM

I'll throw mine in the hat:

Mods: JLT2 cai, BamaChips 93Performance SCT tune, Steeda cmrc deletes, Steeda pulleys, JBA longtubes & off-road H-pipe, PSI Performance aluminum driveshaft, FRPP 4.10 gears, stock mufflers & stock Pirelli 17" tires.

Best 1/8:

60: 1.853
330: blank (evidently, this is common @ Mason-Dixon)
1/8: 8.186
mph: 87.33
... then I missed 4th gear REAL BAD LOL.
1000': 10.734
1/4: 12.891
mph: 105.48

Best 1/4:

60': 1.894
330: blank
1/8: 8.250
mph: 87.04
1000': 10.700
1/4: 12.775
mph: 108.84

linked from my buddy's site (obviously, I'm "Massey" in the right lane):

Here's a link to the video... it's on myspace, so if you're not a member you MAY not be able to view it?:

BTW, the guy in the white Mustang in the left lane is my neighbor. His 12.80 was done with Demolet cai, BamaChips 93Race tune, Steeda pulleys, FRPP cmrc deletes, BBK shorty headers, MAC off-road X-pipe, Flowmaster axle back, and PSI Performance driveshaft on stock 18" BFG's. I need to get him to register so his ET can get on the list too

Here are my new times

60' ____ 1.454 ____ 1.843
330 ____ 4.919 ____ 5.303
1/8 ____ 7.785 ____ 8.150
mph ____ 86.58 ____ 86.93
1000 __ 10.219 ____ 10.578
1/4 ___ 12.686 ____ 12.63
mph __ 109.38 ____ 109.44

The 1.454 60' slip has a wicked 1/8th time.. The other one I shifted cleaner into 4th (With stock gears its very sensative on what RPM it shifts at and the stock shifter into 4th is a long shift)

DavidM Feb 24, 2007 03:34 PM

This thread needs an update to the time page.

Are you saying that you pulled a 1.454 60' time??? :dunno: I'm sorry, but I don't think that is possible. And I seriously doubt the 7.78 1/8-mi ET, too. Those look like timer malfunctions to me.

Bushmaster Mar 4, 2007 09:11 AM

I took my bone stock '05 GT automatic out last night for the first time since last fall. Best previous time was 14.21 the day I bought it new last spring. It went a bunch of .40s and .50s through the heat of the summer. Last night the air was about perfect.

60 - 2.10
330 - 5.82
1/8 - 8.86
mph - 81.04
1000 - 11.49
mph - none
1/4 - 13.75
mph - 99.89

After about an hour and a thousand ricers greasing up the line, it ran:

60 - 2.17
330 - 5.92
1/8 - 8.98
mph - 80.54
1000 - 11.63
mph - none
1/4 - 13.90
mph - 99.18

I was amazed.....I had no idea a stock GT would run this quick. Is this worth getting excited about, or not that uncommon? I was leaving off-idle with TC on and letting the box shift itself.

The air was great for everyone.....the '94 GT with my race motor under the hood ran 10.18, which was her best time by half a tenth. One of those nights you're really glad you showed up.

Great times bushmaster!

I ran 13.61 at 102 in stock trim my first time out with my 06 The second outing was even better with a 13.55 @ 103 on the stock pirelli rubber. which I believe is the fastest stock time on here. I wish they would update the thread. The altitude at TUlsa Raceway park is pretty good about 400 ' above sea level I'm sure that has somthing to do with the times. It was also in the 40's that night. But i've done a bunch of mods over the winter and am itching to get back out and see if I can get into the 12 second range.

Bushmaster Mar 5, 2007 07:07 AM

Thanks, David! I was pretty tickled with it, since I was expecting more low 14s. Your car is a stick car, right? They're generally a little quicker, but (as we know) take a whole lot more driving skill. I'd sure like to know if anyone's run quicker than a .75 with an automatic car. It was in the low 40s when I ran that number, and got a little colder the rest of the evening. We usually have crappy air at our track (San Antonio) but once in a while the racing gods smile on us!

It sure makes me wanna break my promise to myself and start modding the car. But I went thru that whole routine with my '01 GT and said I'd leave this one stock. Still.....a convertor and gears, and cold air and tuning.....maybe high 12s?

Mark
