Over a year later, I still like my FRPP cam covers. They haven't been near as hard to keep clean as I anticipated..

That's great to hear. Are you using the Novus Plastic Polish like they recommend? Or have you found something else that works as good?

Bill.....well....no need to say anything but

I think the best part about the writeup is the fact you are performing the "White glove" test for the install. Not a freeking spec no less!

Tom! Stick with your own "Cam Covers"!

You get a thumbs up from me. Nice work. I gotta ask you Bill, you must get neighbors coming by you house to see what your up to all the time. I can see them looking out the window of their house. "Oh man, there goes Bill again....."

Actually, one guy in particular does!

He's an old timer that used to have a 70 Boss 302 and he's always interested in what's going on with my car. Guess once a Mustang guy, always a Mustang guy!

A damp rag is all I've used, and then shine them up with a dry one.

Even though this thread is 7-1/2 years old, it is still very helpful. I used it today to install a set of FRPP chrome cam covers just like the original poster. Thanks!

As a side note, since I didn't have a helper to hold some of the wiring aside so the new valve covers could be positioned correctly, I used a few bungee cords hooked to the hood latch loop to hold the wiring looms up and out of the way.

Bill you just made it easy except for the new valve covers I put on tonight I had to drill a single hole on each cove that wasn't there. Put it all together and really proud of the work. I was a rag king for any debrie but I will change the oil before Superbowl #49

Oh... So nobody told you, that if you put the newer covers on, you only use the holes provided? There is absolutely no need to drill all the missing holes. The newer covers use less bolts and if you upgrade from the old, you use less bolts, too.

Mine came like that from the factory (and yes, there are holes in the head)

well I had to for the K&N bracket on the drivers side seeing how I did that I did the passenger as well because a hole without a bolt would bug me.
