exhaust comparison: Stock - FRPP Stinger - Pypes O/R H-Pipe

There's been some buzz lately on how the Stingers compare to stock or how they'll sound with the addition of an O/R H-Pipe.

I put together this video comparison and I think the sound (tone) representation is fairly accurate. Only difference is that the recordings from my digital camera is missing a little of the higher frequencies, but nonetheless it's close enough. Also, the mic cannot capture what you feel when standing behind the car in the H-Pipe clips; there's a good amount of percussion that hits your body when revved up.

Installed Stinger part number: M-5230-5GT

TBill, I love the sound of that setup. A question for you. I used to run the SLP LMs, I switched to the FRRPs so I could add an O/R H. I know how the LMs are(in person) with O/R H, and ho wloud they are with stock midpipe. How does that compare(in person) in volume. I don't want to completely set them off. Anybody near Cincy have this setup, so I could hear it person. Thanks

I've been told by others that ran the O/R H with the LM's that it is crazy loud (almost insane!). I can tell you that my set-up is loud, but not obnoxiously loud.

Only during the first minute of a cold start does it rattle the fillings in your teeth. :-D
