What were your timeslips other than ET, 60ft and mph's?
On street tires you are leaving too hot at 5krpm. its about what I leave with slicks. I too have 3.55's I shift my car closer to 6500 and never go into 4th

Best light I cut was a .290, most were .4xx. On my best run of 14.714, times were:
R/T .447
60' 2.327
330 6.243
1/8 9.512
MPH 75.18
1000 12.339
E.T 14.714
MPH 93.60

I did try to launch at 4k once; I think my issue is I'm outa practice with the right foot.....once the clutch is up, it's petal to the metal......and I spun 'em every time. Also, I haven't gotten around to playing with the tuner too much yet, so I still rev limit around 6200, which is why I'm shifting at 6k. The one time I shifted into 4th I knew it was a mistake when it happened; that run might've equaled my quickest had I not blown it....

wow, that elevation sure is killer. 5800ft is pretty high, ours is about 1100ft.

14.7??? That's slow right? I'm not trying to be rude, but I was under the assumption that a GT should hit mid to high 13's stock. :dunno:

(EDIT) Nvm... I read the previous post. Wow, altitude really does suck. I'm at sea level so I should do mid 13's no problem.... I hope

You have NO idea how hard it is to see guys posting with the same mods and timeslips in the mid-13s.......:banghead:
My wife's sister just moved to Racine, WI. My Bro-in-Law wants me to bring the horse up for some runs down the local track this summer; I'm gonna try to go around May or June......Seems a ways off, but I'll post what I run at the flatlander track. Meantime, I'm told CSP starts hosting track days about twice a month starting in April, so hoping to get some practice in (I mean, my reaction times draw major vacuum....) and maybe improve even here in the high country!!

You might be surprised, I just took my bone stock 06 GT out, and 14.0 was the best time.

2 things killed me, no traction, and the stock 3.31 gears. Had to lauch at 1500 rpm to keep from spinning (stock tires).

This week on: Racing at Altitude!
Tech and Tune at Bandimere. Quickest ET: 14.44, better by last summer by 3 tenths!! Best reaction time: .016, not on my quickest run, but a personal best. Most suprised "opponent" (it IS tech and tune, after all): The guy in the GT500 that ran a 14.6 to my 14.4! He was learning (or new, or something) cause he was doin' 13.9's by the end of the day, on street tires. But he swore I had a supercharger!!:screwy: AND tried my luck against the new 5.0, which ran a 13.8 to my 14.7 (pics of that up soon!)
I'm splurging for MT stickies for sure, to try and hit helmet times (13.99 and faster). Speaking of which, I've quoted on this forum that I had the dedication to stick it out naturally aspirated? NEVERMIND!! Kenne Belle's getting my cash this winter. Why, you ask? I watched not one, not two, but FOUR different Chevy Cobalts run low 14's, and one running consistent 13.9's with sticky tires. Camaros? BAH! only the blown one ran better than 14.5. Challenger? HAH! Nothing stock ran faster than 15 seconds. Both carry more weight than their HP offsets, is what I'm seeing. WRX? Either in the 12's with monster mods, (oooh, one NASTY mother running high tens!) or mid-14s stock, along with (gasp) SRT8 Jeeps...... We high altitude guys gotta watch the Cobalts, if you can believe that crap.........
BTW, video of the me vs. GT500 coming soon, and pics posted in the album later this week. Running the "Run Tuff" series this year, so hopefully even MORE video, pictures, and inane babble coming your way!!!

Going to the track with my buds for the first time this Sunday. Never put this much thought in to it haha. I was thinking "dump the clutch and go like hell." I guess I need some lessons lol

racing in a straight line you'll take the s2000(stock) easily, no worries. Especially from a stand still.
