Cut out and clamp x pipe?

Has anyone tried these? Looking at maybe the pypes brand. Worth it? Or just replace the whole thing? Need to keep cats to pass inspection. Thanks in advance for any advice/input.

If I'm not mistaken buy a tune and delete the o2 censors so u don't throw a code... They inspect the car by plugging into ur ecu.... Thats how I always pass w an off road x

I was originally going to do Long tubes and all but I had some unexpected hospital bills and what i was saving up for them quickly went right out the window lol. I have an slp axle back on my car now just looking for a little extra snarl and sound at a cheap price. Are you overall satisfied with the sound they provided? I will be putting it on my 05 gt if I end up getting them. I think i might just go with the ford racing as well

I was thinking of doing this also because I read somewhere else that it would work. eventually I may resort to that but my lack of funds will most likely restrict me from getting a tune anytime soon lol.

I was in same boat when I first got my car.... So I bought a UPR off rd x for $174.00 it's the cheapest x I could find... I'll eventually get a better set up but it was a fun cheap mod.... Plus I put it on my self

That helps a ton. I plan on doing this myself as well.

I thought you were talking about just replacing the h pipe with a x pipe, not the whole deal.

I'm talking just About the Midpipe.... The UPR off road xpipe replaces ur stock hpipe and cats... Consists of 6 bolts.... Really simple but it's hard to get to the passenger side o2 sensors if u were just laying under the car....

I'd really like to do this only problem is don't have money for a tune to pass inspection. I really want an offroad x but need to pass inspection in April. As far as the install goes I'm not too worried I put a full exhaust on my 94 gt just on jack stands. Headers,x pipe, cat back, everything. I'm thinking this will be a little more difficult and less space to work with but if worst comes to worst my uncle has a lift at his shop. I live in delaware they are pretty strict as far as I know about things like this. Just like tint...

Find a tuner on craigslist that's what I did... Or most mustang shops will clear codes for u if u buy the x from them
