So I've finally decided to take the plunge and buy a CAI + tuner. Problem is, there is no processor code sticker on my PCM. Is there another way to get the processor code?

I've heard that I can use a tuner to read out the 7-digit strategy code, but I don't quite understand the difference between the two. Does that somehow look up to the 4-digit processor code as well?

 

If your getting a custom tune they can use the 4 digit code or the 7 digit strategy code. If you just want the canned tune that came with the hand held you dont need the codes. The car dealership can tell you what code you have.
