Thumbs down

Hey guys,

In the recent couple of days/weeks, people have been requesting Borla clips:
-startup
-revs
-drivebys
etc

If you originally read the 'Mods behaving badly' thread a while back, these are the same vids.

1) Cut them down a bit (to lose the time where nothing was happening in the vids)
2) Some of the framerates were toned down (the sound is all good though..the important part)
3) They were encoded using Quick Time 7, so if for some reason you can't see them, you may need to go to go here, and download it. as I used their newest codec.

Enjoy:

2 Borla Salute

Borla Single Launch

Borla 2-car launch

Borla Single Drive-by

Borla Double Drive-by #1

Borla Double Drive-by #2

Let me know if they work/don't work...

I can hear them but there wasn't any video. it came up with a message saying quicktime needed software that wasn't available right now, or something like that.

Andy..what version of quicktime were you using?
Like I said, I haven't tried to look at them with anything less than version 7.

And isn't the sound the important part :P

Wow awesome videos. Thanks Pete!!!

(one little question: it sounds like the Borla sound dies off at higher RPMs. Especially when I was watching the double-launch video, when the cars are in higher RPMs, there isnt any more sound...Is it just me or am i kind of right?)

If the camera was following the cars...you'd hear it....

That was behind airport road, which as you can hear...planes passing over.
And it was windy.

Trust me...borla's get LOUD after 3000 RPM
That was tame...

And i mean its still a camera and compressed audio/video.
Your not going to get the full effect.

Okay. I guess it IS the best set-up to go with for what I want. Thanks for helping me make my decision.

turns out I was still using 6.5 not 7 so I went through all the work of getting 7. Well now that I have it, I can see the video fine, but I saw them a long time ago haha oh well.

yeah the sound is the most important part, but who doesn't want see the new mustang every chance they get. (I'll still crank my head around if I see one on the road)

still nice vids

Andy,
thanks for proving it.
Those vids were compressed with the new codec, and NEED 7 to see them....

It crunched them down REALLY good, compared to the old quicktimes.

And you should maybe do one clip where you drive off or launch with the camera DIRECTLY in back of the car....so we can hear it better.

Thanks for the comments...

Honestly, I know there are tons of people who will flame/have flamed me for having such a nice car...bla bla bla. I've already given my parents one year's worth of the car payments, and have/will purchase all my mods with my own money, though. Ive never really spent any money I've gotten from birthdays, graduations, presents and what-not, and all my money from work has gone into my bank account to collect interest (whatever that means...like $5 ). So my parents are truly helping me out, or actually, i'm helping THEM out.

One things for sure...I'm not the rich kid whose parents bought him a car, and who doesn't appreciate it at all. On my M3 forums, jesus there are SO many kids under 18 that have brand new M3s, but thats not really the problem at all. Its how they talk about their parents, how they never help with the money, and how they think they own the world.
