I am installing the LCA's right now, and I accidentally through away the install instructions. I already read MTAS's write up.
But I am not sure if the narrower end (bushings) go to the front or back?
Also...they had to send me new narrow bushings, as they sent me the LCA's with wide bushings on both sides. I put the narrower bushings on one end, but the bolt shaft sticks out. do I need to cut this?
help! Car is apart right now! :bang:
Narrow End, with replaced bushings. Note bolt shaft sticking out.
wide end. Note bolt shaft is flush with bushing

Narrow end to the front, you might want to grease the front bushing's before you install them because they can be a PIA to grease afterward's. I would definatley say you will need to trim the metal insert's flush with the bushing after looking at it...Hope this help's

It's a pretty tight fit, I would get it as close as possible. If you don't have a cut off wheel or a grinder, a hack saw and file should do the trick. I would go flush with the bushing...That's how they are on mine...

I don't know how far along you are but just in case I'll throw out some sugestion's.
1. Do one side at a time so you don't loose your axel placment.
2. I put the jack stand's about 8 in. away from the diff to leave myself room to work.
3. After you remove the stock arm's you may have to "bump" the axle a little forward or back to make up the new LCA's.
4. Zip tie the emergency brake cable to the new LCA.
Just some thought's, with you not having your instructions and all...

Bill, The BMR LCA's have a narrow bushing on the front end and a wider one on the rear. The bracket on the front is just wide enough for the narrow bushing. The round metal insert will have to be flush for it to fit. He recived LCA's with wide bushing's on both end's, and they must have sent him just the narrow bushing's w/o the propper metal insert...I went out and double checked my Pony to be sure before I jumped in. Bottom line is the metal insert should just slip inbetween the front bracket "ear's".

well, its not flush...too far in. I am afraid the bolt may compress the bushings together. I will have BMR overnight me bolts...and swap the left side out when I get a chance. Right now, I need my buddy to come help me bolt the new ones back on. He is on his way
