Bama Tune Problem--HELP

I need some help... I ordered Doug's 93 torque tune and installed my JLT2 intake this morning. I went to load the program in the OBD2 port, everything went fine, but when I went to start my car, it WOULDN'T start. My car won't start at all, and it won't even try...no sound, anything.

Anyone have a solution to this? It will flash back to stock, but I don't feel like taking everything out again. PLEASE help..

Flash it back to stock and make sure the starter engages.
If not it may not be the tune.

yeah, it could be a problem with the starter, just reflash to stock and try turning it on, you can do it with the intake still on but do not leave the car on for more than 1 second, just see if it starts and if it does turn the car off right away and try the tune again, if it does not start again call doug tomorrow or if it does not start at all even flashed to stock but the car on a trailer and take it to ford, (if auto, you can take it out of park turning the key to the on position and pushing the brake and putting it in neutral)

If it's a manual, you could always try push starting it to bypass the starter. But, I honestly don't know if that would be a wise idea or not for your situation...maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Also, if the starters not turning you might want to try your other key.

I dont beleive you have to remove the fuses in the first place.. that happened to me once.. it was the software I was using to upload the tune to the X-Cal.. which one are you using? Have you called Doug?? He has some great customer service....

I have Dougs tune also and no problems, I don't see the need to shut the car off instantly if you get it started with stock tune and CAI installed. I took my tune out and left the CAI on for the 2 mile trip to the dealer for some quick warranty work. The engine light came on coming back from the dealer, which i expected but its not like the car went into limp mode.

Download the newest version of Liveload. Erase the current XCal2 (making sure that you have the files backed up) and use the newest version of Liveload 1.3 and higher to replace the tunes. This may be, but probably isnt the problem. Also, read your strategy just in case the dealer did some PCM work the last time you went in for service.

Correct on that. I had a key that was not programed and it would not stsrt the car. Someone had to point this out to me.

This is a strange car.

You can not push start it. (at least I cant push start mine)

The key(ign switch) is not wired to the starter.

The other morning my gas pedal got stuck under my floor mat.
(on the interstate at 85 mph)

I shut the car off and pulled the floor mat back, turned the key on and let the clutch out and nothing the motor reved(I could hear it) but it wouldnt start.

I pushed the clutch in and turned the key and nothing.

By this time im coasting 35 mph in the fast lane in rush hour traffic.

I put the trans in neutral clutched it and it started??

Didnt mean to steal the thread but, has anyone else had the same thing?

I had the same problem with my car. After speaking to Doug we came to realize the calibration codes on the xcal did not match the car. Somewhere along the way Ford reflashed the car and they no longer matched. I think you can scroll the xcal to check the cal code and see if they match.
Good luck.

All you have to do is read the strategy, and then there is a sticky thread in this forum to tell you your new PCM code.

Oh perfect, go to the link up top that 06GT4RAD posted, that will give you the list of codes and what your new PCM calibration code is.
