I'm pretty sure there were ways to in the old foxes but how about newer stangs?

SCT XCalibrator can move the rev limiter up out of your way. But you need a tune for the car, you can't borrow someone elses XCalibrator.

Basically I have software that I can use on an exported version of my tune to adjust the flash file, including timing and rev limiter. Then I load that back into my SCT.

The SCT is VIN locked to a car unless the car was put back to stock flash. After downloading the stock flash, the SCT unit is unlocked, and you can go to another car. This prevents me from flashing 10 cars with it.

Diablosport is releasing thier predator next month and I am sure you will be able to do that. I would watch www.diablosport.com for the release. I am!

Just curious, but how much power is there to be had by removing the rev limiter on an otherwise stock engine utilizing the stock recip assy and valvetrain (cams included)?

Honestly I cant see where over reving the engine would produce meaningful results?

On the older fox cars with a hydrualic roller set-up utilizing regular components (ie; stainless valves, regular springs (not beehive), stock lifter, etc) there wasn't much power to be had even with a cam change past 6000 or so RPM unless you could really get a handle on valve float.

Granted the mod motors are SOHC and with the 3v set-up you could concievably take advantage of the smallish intake valves and weight, but given the contraints of the intake manifold, cyliner head design, etc. I dont see where hug gains could be made by increasing the rev limit of the motor.
