some dude wants to race my future V6
The V6 would win, hands down. Because it looks good, and the subaru is merely ok looking. So in a race, you'd win, even if you didn't get there first, because you have the better lookin' car!
I will preface this by saying I can't stand STIs. Having said that, he would mop up a V6...no contest. It is possible an STI could outrun a GT. I think they are neck and neck. Look up a roadtest. Motor Trend has a road test of an '05 in Oct. '04. It has 300 hp and does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds; quarter mile in 13.3 @ 100.1 mph.

sti aint nothin to play with. subaru wrx sti: 300hp 300tq. holds its own against 03-04 cobras all day long. eats anything less (including 05 gts) for lunch. car's a beast without mods. with mods its a beast eater. some where, and I dont remember where, i read of a heavily modded but still streetable sti that was putting 600hp to the wheels. thats a lot of power from a 4cyl. this thing was taking on and beating moddified vettes, vipers, porches, anything in the field
