After reading all the posts for all time best muscle car, and things like that, I noticed that we are living in the mid sixties again, just not to the same degree. If you remember, the Mustang came came out 3 years ahead of the camero. This time a new mustang comes out, and the camero, is returning in 07or 08. We still have the same warriors for this battle as well. The mustang, the charger, the vette, the camero. We can use the hondas, and the like for amx, (thats a low blow I know). We are in the midst of history ladies and gentlemen, lets sit back crank the Hendrix and enjoy. To the mopar fans, if anyone buys a charger and paints it orange, with a 01 on the side, I will personally drive to your house and slap you.

 

i agree, this is turning out to be the 60s again. and like McDonalds, im loving it. cant wait for the new F-body, the goat redesign, to CV redesign w/ the falcon. i'm hoping for more and more V8 RWD cars to make it onto the market. the more the merrier. this is just gonna rock. it lets us younger enthusiasts relive the same things that some of you older enthusiasts got to experience way back when (please dont hurt me for calling you old)

Dont forget the GTO is back to if anyone realy cares but yah, we are starting a new era in muscle car history. Its like the second muscle car generation or Muscle Car Era II, but not all is in attendence but the best is back! But there is one thing i have to say to all of you mustang loyalist along with me, that chevy is going to take a big punch at us when the Comaro comes back, As you can see they have taken comaro off the market and they did it for a reason and the reason is to try to knock mustang out when they come back, and we cant let that happen! They are going to wait till this mustang craze calms down in a couple of years and when people start to see the 05 mustang as an old model as we see the 2004 model mustang now. they are also going to have all the comaro fans wait so long and keep them so enthused about the new comaro that fans wont even think about the price and just have comaros fly off the lots. as ford kind of did with the new 05 model mustang, but remember mustangs were availibul at the time and the comaro is gone now so there is going to be a more want of the comaro. this will also tern some mustang fans to, I know that is not good! But the only thing now we can hope on is that chevy drops the ball with the new comaro and makes the so ugly that no one realy cares for it. but i realy doubt that will happen. So mustang lovers always keep the legend alive and never forget about the history on the Mustang!

 

I dont like the goat and I HATE F-bodies. Neat how insurance companies are making them underrate cars like the 60s. For example the 03 cobra really has 425hp not 390hp.

To be honest, I don't wanna another muscle car era. Yeah, sure, it will be great for some time, but what's gonna happen if muscle car era II ends like muscle car era I? Can we go from 450-hp Mustang (new Cobra) to a 4cyl Mustang again? Can we take that again? I couldn't.
I'll be happy if things stay the way they were in the past 2 years. No competition, good sales, powerfull engines (V6, GT, Mach 1 and Cobra).

Other thing is new Charger is nothing like old Charger. Its not muscle car. Its family 4-door sedan. Just because it have Charger name doesn't mean its muscle car. Is Fairlane concept muscle car just because it have Fairlane name? Was last generation of Cougar muscle car just because it had Cougar name on it? New GTO is also not a muscle car. Its too expensive and handling is too good. Not characteristics of muscle car. GM never confirmed anything about Camaro. I couldn't care less about Camaro, but I wanna see Firebird back. I love that car. Another thing is there is no Plymouth anymore. Plymouth made best muscle cars Barracuda, Road Runner, Superbird, GTX, Duster, Satellite ...

 

I agree we are in a time warp 40 years later, all car makes are trying to make more HP. I just hope our muscle cars are worth 40 years from now what the 40 year old ones are worth today. Maybe I will just keep my 03 Cobra.

 

Retro is in, and it's a darn good time to be a car, and better yet a Ford fan.

...Ya gotta believe! I will for sure if the Mets win the World Series again like they did in 1969. That was one great summer!
