I vote 5.0, the 4.6 exhaust tone almost has no throatiness to it.

My 4.6 sounds pretty **** loud and throaty now!

I understand people's loyalty to the 4.6, but come on... the 5.0 hands down!

My question is why? 302 isn't that much bigger displacement.

Is it the shorty header on the 5.0? Is it different chambering in the axle backs? Is it the 2 ex valves vs 1? Is it the better flowing heads?

In defense of the 4.6 engine, that is one of the most subdued vids I've heard. My Bullitt is definitely different from that GT.

But the 5.0 wins in those specific vids. It is throaty and I didn't hear any rasp.

IMO

non comparable vids. One was 2' from the exhaust pipe and the other was 20' away. Big difference

based on those two, I say 5.0

but topbliss has ir right, you'd have to compare side by side

If my dealer has a 5.0 tomorrow I will take a good exhaust video of it so I can improve the exhaust note comparison in this thread. ;)

from those vids Im going to have to say that the 4.6 sounds just a hair better...lol

None of the above to be truthful, they sound good but nothing and I mean nothing beats a fox car with a set of off-road pipes and 2 chamber flows - music from the gods!

5.0 sounds better but id` like to have heard a full throttle blast .. the only camaro iv`e heard sounded like shi+ ..

I can't endorse any stock exhaust. I think the 11 wins thanks to its video but it's really a coin toss.

2010 4.6 is the best for me. I have no problem with that. It is better and nice to me. So, I am choosing this. This is best.

:dunno: 5.0 may be the better performer but the 4.6 sounds better.
