If you have the factory 67 I6, 200CI, then for sure upgrade to a 289. This is what us mustang nuts do, we build them for ourselves, have fun with that 289

Look into Ford Racing's 302. Paired with a Edelbrock 600 would make it a good performer.

I know a girl from my school who has a '66 Mustang, and has a 351 in place of it's original I6, she doesnt know whether its a cleveland or Windsor though.
Any V8 will be real fun howver.

thats what i've always wanted to do. a 427W in a 65 FB
but if thats not possible, put in a 289/302 i wouldnt wanna stick with the I6...
