Toss up between the Bosses, but went with the 429 due to its rarity and awesome motor, even though the 302 is probably the better car to actually drive and the best and most entertaining overall driver of these Stangs.
GT would make a nice Q-ship Mustang and is probably, along with the BOSS 429, the most tastefully styled. Make mine with the 4bbl Cleveland 351. Mach I is a bit overstyled for my tastes -- basically a tarted-up GT -- though still great looking (I certainly wouldn't turn one down) but not as balanced, performance-wise, as the Boss 302. GT 500, way over the top styling, particularly the cheese-grater front. |
69 is just the best looking year period .. most likely the 70 model had all the same options ..although i dont know if a GT was available in 70
No, GTs were terminated for a few years after '69 because it didn't sell all that well because of all the other options Ford had put out.
Definitely the Boss 429 - the nose on the GT500 is not on my list of good things...
'69? Boss 302. In Blue. Although I'd prefer a Boss 302 Cougar. In Orange. In '70, Boss 429. Grabber Blue.
Definitely the boss 429 it has always been my favorite black on black with white or silver stripes
My absolute favorite Mustang of all is the 69-70 Shelby. I like that front end better than any of the following 71-73s. GT500 is ok but I think the GT350 would be a little better balanced to drive.
I love gt500's but that hood is hideous. The boss 429 is my winner

Sorry. |
Mach One for me! Although I have to admit I'm a bigger fan of the '70 model.
1969 Mach 1 428 4-speed. A car I have drooled over.
But it has to have the SCJ with the shaker http://ford-mustangclubofacadiana.co...182016_std.jpg |
Boss 429 = Closely followed by the 302 and mach 1. What I'd do for any of those...
