As others have done, I have to officially say that street racing is dangerous...

Unofficially... Nice one!

three fitae's are slow IMO. when i was at the track they were all running 14.4-15.0 while i was running 13.2-13.4. i pulled on them slightly but consistantly before gears, now its like racing an integ with a lil more power...race is over in one gear

mind u their drivers think the car is fast, so the kills are that much more rewarding lol!

My father has a 350z and He thought he could hang too, one run was all it took. Now he keeps his mouth shut. Those things can corner though, I'll give them that much.

Well they are only 287hp from a V6 (there are a few 300hp versions around, but they are rare), so a V8 stang with any mods at all should be able to walk them. Just be careful though - more and more Z owners are opting to install the GReddy twin turbo kits.....and I wouldn't want to come up against one of those.

From what I've seen . . . all the magazines that tested reflect this same info. Our cars rule in both these areas and the 1/4 mile.

Does anybody have some links for GT/350Z comparisons? I was thinking about getting a Z for a while, but glad I went with the GT, love it!

The track version and the 35th anniversary edition have 300 hp.

TORQUE RULES and horsepower sells

Of course Nissan has a mighty nice V8 in their titan pickup that could find a nice home in the 350z if it can fit.

had one of those go by me here in richmond VA a couple weeks ago. dont know if it was a twin turbo or not. could hear the turbo and blow off valve while i was at wendy's for lunch. and they aren't made for drag racing. but they are extremely quick for a V6 car.

Sorta rehashing this but Nissan raised the horsepower from 287 to 300 by retuning the engine and sacrificing torque from 276 to 260.

Great........thanks for the extra power

Hey Dan:

Feels good telling it like it is, doesn't it?

Like you and Boomer always say: "Looks like you've made another friend".

Exactly. IMO, I think it was just a marketing move so they can point out its the same as the Mustang.

I have yet to run my friend with his 350Z. He can't shut up about it that it'll smoke my car.
