2011 V6 Mustang vs Infiniti G37
Anyone think we'll be able to take one from a red light with the 3.31 rear? :catfight:
|
With the 5.1 0-60 time, in short, yes! :D
Although it will really be a driver's race... |
Those G's are overpriced, uninspired garbage.

u guys talking about the coupe or the sedan?...or both
|
coupe

I like the styling, inside and out of the G37. I've never driven one, but they seem like nice cars. I've driven the previous G35 coupe, and those cars had pretty cheap interiors.

I always thought the G's looked nice and had a good exhaust tone for the kind of car it is :dunno:
|
are you kidding me? i mean really this is a joke right?
70hp and 120 lb-ft advantage. they weigh essentially the same. 6 mph 1/4 mile advantage? better start looking a bit higher. v6's arent competition any more. |
leave traction conrtol on if you cant drive, and STILL an easy kill.
|
I like the G37, i've driven the g35s sedan and I was more than impressed with the power and handling

Do you actually know anything about these cars? Motor Trend Tests Mustang 3.7 (305 bhp) 0-60 5.1 1/4 13.7 @ 102 Infinity G37C (330 bhp) and G37S (328 bhp) 0-60 5.0 1/4 13.5 @ 105 PS the V6 you really want to avoid in a 3.7 Mustang is the Nissan 370Z. |

the G37 definatly has the edge but with them being that close it really would be a drivers race.
The G is almost coming close to double the cost of the stang though. |
Actually, per Car and Driver the 370z is not that much faster either. Same 1/4 time at 13.5, .97g cornering (only .01 better than the stang), 4.9 0-60, and 70-0 in 159 feet.
To be fair, car and driver also reviewed the v6 stang with slower numbers than other reviewers, but they came up with 14 second 1/4, .95g cornering, 5.4(!) sec 0-60, and 152 ft 70-0. the 5.1 0-60 is the fastest time recorded for the Mustang, so I wouldn't quote that as what it will always do. If you average all the reviews for each car you will get the Mustang closer to 5.2-5.3 I think, with the G and Z at 4.9-5.0 and 5.1 respectively. There are faster and slower times for all those numbers. The Mustang has a great v6 for the first time EVER, but it is not the best. But then again, it is WAY cheaper! Count your blessings guys, but don't go overboard. It is at least comparable, and that is saying something. The Z is priced and aimed more at the kind of crowd that considers/can afford the GT. |
