[SIZE=7][B]I HAVE A 2006 GT ORDERED FROM A DEALERSHIP IN OKLAHOMA. I ORDERED THE TUNGSTEN GREY CLEARCOAT METALLIC COLOR AND WAS TOLD BECAUSE THAT IS A NEW COLOR, I COULD PROBABLY EXPECT A DELAY IN GETTING MY VEHICLE. HAS ANYBODY ELSE ORDERED THIS COLOR????? AND IF SO HAS ANYBODY ELSE BEEN TOLD OF A DELAY BECAUSE OF THE NEW COLOR???? SEVERAL OTHER GT'S ORDERED THROUGH THIS DEALERSHIP AFTER MINE WAS ORDERED ARE ALREADY SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION ON
8-8-05. I WAS THE FIRS PERSON TO ORDER AN 06 FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AND MY VEHICLE ISN'E EVEN SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION YET. ANY HELP/ADVISE/INSIGHT WILL BE APPRECIATED. THANKS.

There is no hold on Tungsten. I have 3 coming in. Something smells fishy.

They more than likely ran out of GT allocation so they blamed it on the color.

I ordered the only GT they had in there first allocation. I won't have a Vin till next Thursday and they said the build date will be two weeks behind that is that true. :bang: I really want a new Mustang to go with my 86 GT but at this point I starting to consider other cars!
Thanks for the help

Ordering in mid June for September/October delivery is relatively good timing.
I have two customers who carried over from '05 GT orders placed in March and April that will get their cars in late September.

There are delays in ordering Mustangs and you may experience some grief for 4 or 5 months, but when you finally get your new Mustang, that will be all forgotten.

They really are a great car, and a huge blast to drive.
They have an impact and personality you will not find in any other car!

If you go for an "other car", you will regret it in the long run.
Hang in there!

Not knowing that dealer's allocation, etc I really can't comment. i know that my first 2 GT orders for 06 were scheduled rtight away and will be here within the next 3-4 weeks. In our region ther eis no GT allocation for the next 2 weeks.

I'm curious about the reasoning behind changing from Sonic Blue in 05 to Vista Blue in 06?

Sonic Blue has run it's course. It's been used since 2002--that's four model years--and it's time for a new blue. Besides, Vista looks better.

Tungsten cars are on some lots now. I'm sure Vista is already or isn't far behind.
