What to bring

so i want to go drag racing, but i haven't the slightest idea what i need to bring or have available. Do i need a helmet, if i do then do i need to get my own or can i get one at the track?

any answers are greatly appreciated

Well most tracks require a helmet if you are running I think 12.99 or under. It varies from place to place (and I could be wrong on teh 12.99 as well :p).

As far as other things to bring.... tire pressure guage if you are going to lower you tires, portable air tank or pump to fill them back up. If you are changing to slicks or something at the track, dont forget your jack and lug wrench.

I always kept a pair of mechanix gloves in the car, was much nicer not having to try and find a sink to wash my hands after changing tires or fooling with the car.

A cooler maybe with some bottled water in it. Some people ice down thier intakes, not sure if it works as well on 05+. If you do decide to put a bag of ice on the intake, bring some shop towels to put under the ice to catch any water run off from the condensation. Keeps it off your engine and the track.

As far as rules and whats available at the track to you, look up the number and give em a call :)

If you have locking lug nuts, don't forget the "key"

Airing down street radials has absolutely no positive effect... IMHO.
Oh and I read that in 5.0 Magazine.
