Trapping in 3rd
 

Today went to Fontana for some t/t. Didn't break any personal best but discovered that I would have if I trapped in 3rd based on my 1/8 mile/1/4 mile split. Best time of the day was:
60' 1.823
1/8 8.841 at 77.24
1/4 mile 13.897 at 96.92. D/A was over 2600' During this run I shifted into 4th. The 1/8 mile/1/4 mile split was 1.5718.

Best time leaving it in 3rd was:
60' 2.016 (track was not hooking anymore)
1/8 9.164 at 75.20
1/4 14.126 at 100.02. D/A was over 3500' during this run.
The 1/8 mile/1/4 mile split was 1.5476.

With a 1/8 mile of 8.841, if I left in 3rd my 1/4 mile time would have been a 13.676.
I am running 4.10s with M&H 275/50/17. I was trapping at 6500 RPMS.
