Drag Radials - Wet or Dry Burnout?

I’m running drag radials this year for the first time. On my street tires I drive around the water box and sometimes do a small burnout in between the box and the lights.
I still have streets on the front so I will still be driving around the water box but should I back into the water for the burnout with the DR’s and light them up or will a dry burnout work just the same?
I have seen guys to do both.

get the DR's wet and do a normal burnout (6-8secs)..They need the heat to get them sticky so you can shorten your 60' times.

Go around the water box then back up to the edge(not in to) of the water and do a good burnout. You don't want to get water in the treads

+1 take your time. Remember, you just waited for an hour to make a pass, what's another few seconds to do a good burnout?
