I have a 2007 GT/CS Vert which I plan on storing in the garage over the winter and driving the Ram P/U instead. Just wondering how many of you plan on storing your BABY until the good weather returns?

Since I live in Northern Kollyfornya, I can drive it most days if I feel the need to... The CS is parked and covered (as my new garage is lagging) when it's down in the valley. I bring it down from Tahoe for the winter, as it's my 'summer car' for the lake. Up there it's kept in the garage when it's not being driven.

I will be driving mine rain, shine or snow. Granted I only work about 3 miles from my house. If I was going long distance I wouldnt, but I refuse to park it for the winter. Its my car, not a seadoo.

I love my car, and maybe someday I can be a rich bastard with extra cars lying around to drive to work. Until that day (read: NEVER GONNA HAPPEN) I'll be driving the 'Stang to work every day. I fully expect it to last me 300K miles. (I drive 30 miles one way to work every day on the interstate).

The weather here in Austin is nice enough to drive year round, although I never take my Mustangs out if the weather is bad - too many people here think when it's raining or icy that means speed up; after all, they have *magic* SUV's that can drive fast on ANY surface! Of course, they are all running into themselves and everything else as a result. So I keep the 'stangs inside when the weather is bad to prevent some careless fool from running them over.

As long as there is no snow, I'll be driving mine. My husband has a company truck, so when it snows I'll drive his F350.

In Iowa the choice is easy!
Here in rural "My G*d what a bad blizzard" Iowa, we drive the ol' 4X4's to get around in that pretty white stuff, that falls from the heavens. And don't forget that wonderful white metal eating stuff, that the county and the city throws on all the roadways from the back of those big, bad, orange rock chucker trucks, with the bright yellow flashing lights! Catching my drift on this gang? Driving a cheap truck, so that CalStang can sleep winters here. Not rich, just saving my ride for the future nice, sunnier days! P.S. Will run it out on the interstate, during dry winter time.

Just wondering why some people return their car to stock for winters? To have less power and more drivability, or to save the aftermarket parts from winter damage?

"BC" Winters
"BC" Also forgot to mention that I have been there to the great "BC" and you guys get some very serious winter up there in the "Great White North". How bad are the sled dog rentals these days? Just kidding! Great Country you have there and good friendly folks too! They treated us like family, plus we and they love their excellent ice cold beer! Can't wait to return there again!! Wonderful and beautiful place, Stang brother. Ahe!

I'll keep mine under cover most of the winter, but I won't hesitate to drive her if there's no rain or snow. The temps don't get too bad here, but I hate driving it in the rain which can be tough to avoid at times here in the Seattle area (rains here all the time, don't move here)! I drive my '03 f150 4x4 to work most days. I plan on keeping the stang for a long time and I'd like to keep it as clean as possible, and keep the miles low. I bought it in Feb. 07 and have 7500 miles on it right now.

Thanks Guys for all the great input, even though I likely messed up how the poll was done. It looks like about 1/2 plan on storage, which likely don't live in the South and have snow/ice/salt to deal with.
My Vert was picked up Dec. 06 and I just had my first sheduled oil change which is at 5000 Km = about 3100 miles, where my boss paid $0.44/km for most of these as I drive around for work. Yesterday I cruised out to the valley with the top down, it's kind of nice to cruise and get paid for doing so !!
