I just cleaned my baby up for the winter and gave her a fresh coat of wax...... but haven't taken it off yet. What would be the pros and cons on leaving the wax on long term?

You're best bet is to take off the wax, its not like marinating a steak

Once a wax/polish reacts with the paint and dries to a haze, it should be taken out as it doesn't really do anything else after that. You actually run the risk of possibly having grit fall into the polish and without noticing, you could rub that into the paint and scratch it up.

Agreed, there's no benefit to leaving to wax on long term

actually there is a benefit. The longer you leave it on, the harder it is to remove, therefore you will grow up to be big and strong.
