Waxing Car With Matte Stripes??

Howdy.

I'm aware that I cannot put standard wax on my matte black stripes, but my car could really use a good wax job!

1. Anyone ever tried waxing around the matte stripes? Or taping off the stripes??

2. I've been told that spray on wax can be used on the matte stripes. Anyone have experience with this?

3. Does the spray wax really work as well as standard?

Thanks!

Tape off the stripes and any other area that you do not not want wax on.
Here is a video on BMW's "frozen" paint, which is a matte finish.

Spray waxes are a quick fix for touchups, I would use either a quality paste/liquid wax or sealant.

1. Tape the edges off.

2. Some can, some cannot.

3. A quality wax spray that is approved for matte finishes will provide durable UV protection.

Now, is there a way to repair them once they have water spots on them?
