Wax Debate

I Have No Life
There are so many out there...
And its not just one category of best...
its longevity, ease of use, look, other products etc etc.
Klasse, Liquid Glass, Meguires NXT, Zaino, Mothers, etc etc...
NXT and Zaino are polishes that protect like a wax, but are not a wax.

ive used all mothers products on all my cars and have achived excelent results with them, but im almost tempted to start using the 3M stuff. one of my buddys has a 96 cobra with flawless paint and he uses the 3M stuff. I think im gunna make the switch.

I like NXT, good stuff.
Beleive it or not, Rejex puts up a pretty good shine, and protects like no other wax/polish I've ever used:

The only problem, the paint has to be in really good shape and really clean, because this stuff basically will cover up any water spots, dirt, bugs, dust, etc, that gets in it's way. Bascially, it's a polymer coating that lasts for months, but bugs come right off. I've seen Love Bugs here in FL eat away a new cars paint, so I'll use this stuff until I find something that protects agains acidic bug guts better. Shine is pretty good too! I took it into the dealership the day after doing it and they loved the shine and wanted to know what I used, but I wouldn't tell them.

What would be the next top three waxes?

I still stick by my Nu-Finish. Yeah the residue can be annoying sometimes but then I just dust off the car really quick and its fine. Been using the liquid for about 6 years and my dad has been using it for about 20 years or so. I tried Meguiars a few years ago and was relativley impressed but I still just keep going back to the good ol' orange bottle Just my .02

I recently tried a new product from eagle one called Nanowax. I was pretty impressed with it. I think I will try the NXT next time. has anyone else used both of these? just wondering how they compare to one another. The Nanno wax was given to me by a neighbor who works for the company that makes it, but I thought it was pretty good. it puts a great shine on the paint and does not leave any of the powder residue. He also gave me some eagle one wet wax (apply before you dry) not too crazy about that stuff.

Why does everyone assume that Zaino is number 1? It is not just arbitrarily better than anything else. It is a wonderful product but it is not the be all end all. It depends on opinion, but there are lots of better or as good combinations if you are willing to shell out the money (which you are if you buy Zaino).

Zaino is the ultimate choice! I have not seen a product out there that will surpass its durability and shine. Its true that you can find products with more depth, but anything carnauba won't last for do do, especially exposed to the sun for any length of time. Zaino crosslinks as you apply coat after coat, it only gets better and does not build up a haze or appear chalky.
All that old BS about taking forever and a day to do the Zaino treatment is yesterdays news. The new ZFX additive makes that obsolete. Now Z8 is out and Zaino has been taken to yet the next level.
I have personally applied just two coats of Z2 to my daily driver in late Oct and by late March early April it still would bead water at the car wash. I live in the rust belt of Ohio and our roads get pounded by salt through the winter, Zaino has what it takes to repel that junk all winter long. I would love to see a carnauba wax do that.
All I am saying is that Zaino does what it says it does and that is a fact. That being said, I think people should use what works for them, and if its not Zaino, so be it. Just make sure that Mustang stays shiny whatever your favorite product might be.
