So I have a couple areas on my car that are chipped and need touchup paint.

I discovered them the next day when I opened the hood.

There is one right on the edge of the hood and there is another one on the edge of the driver's door.

I figure Pep Boys probably doesn't have my paint just yet so I'm guessing the dealer will have touchup paint.

Anyone know?

Thanks... I have a Tungsten '06 BTW.

try www.paintscratch.com

I ordered some for my black car and it's a perfect match. Also comes with rubbing compound, clearcoat, laqer thinner, etc.

I also needed touchup paint for my black '05 gt and went to the dealer to get it, so you should be able to get it at your dealer also.

You'll get it from every ford dealer.
Don't forget to look at the paint code (at the drovers door), or the VIN.

Hate to dissappoint you but both Tungsten and Vista blue are not ready for order as touch up paint from Ford yet as far as I know I just asked like two weeks ago at my dealership.

I second PaintScratch. Order took about a week to come in. Matched perfectly.

Which is better? The paint pen or the bottle?

Yes, get the bottle with the brush. You will also need a toothpick. Shack the bottle well and remove the top but do NOT use the brush. Instead dip the toothpick into the paint bottle but don’t get a lot of paint on it.

Now, take the toothpick and carefully feed the paint from the tip of the toothpick into the chip/scratch. Apply one coat like this and allow it to dry. If it appears to be even with the surrounding paint you should be good to go. If not do the same thing again with a toothpick until you have enough coats to make it even with the paint, or until it looks good to you. Just do not add more then one coat at a time and ONLY after the coat you applied is completely cured.
