Spring 2014 detail
2 Attachment(s)
4 hours of swirl removal with Poorboy's SSR2 & SSR3, 3 hours of polishing with Poorboy's Pro Polish 2, 1 coat of Poorboy's Black Hole glaze, & 2 coats of Menzerna Power Lock sealant. Ordinarily I'd start layering on the carnauba, but I really like the look of the Menzerna sealant. Regardless, after this long, dreadful winter, car show season is just around the corner.

Looking good. Always satisfying when you finally are done putting in a lot of work. Can't wait until the weather allows for some good pics in her natural environment (no, not a flat bed you silly Ford owners); out on the road :D

Thanx, Marc. Yeah, this winter has been something else. And it's not over yet; 60's today & tomorrow, & 1-3" of that crappy white stuff tomorrow night. I'm gonna drive it a little when I get home from work tonight, but not very far. We need a good rain to wash all the salt off the roads.

Stunning results. I always enjoy seeing your detailing photos, Mcate :)
Wish I had the same skills........I don't, but I will be getting a paint correction carried out on mine by a professional this summer :) |

:nice: Tightness... :nice:

Looks great! I too like the look of Power Lock and rarely ever use a carnauba anymore.
|
Thanx, everyone. I've been thinking about ordering a bottle of Menzerna's Color Lock carnauba wax to layer over the sealant, & to use as a refresher as the summer goes on. And, of course, I've got plenty of Natty's Red &/or Blue that I could use as well. Decisions, decisions.....

Beautiful! Looks like a lot of effort went into that, but it's worth it!
I can't wait for the weather to warm up here so I can get mine shining! |
