Spotless Engine Bay?

These cars stay very clean under the hoods, the SN95's got filthy in days. I just lightly hit it with the powerwasher every 3rd or 4th wash(about once a week) and wipe it down with my old chamois. If any areas are dirty I use the tire/wheel foam(safe on clearcoats anyway) before spraying. It stays clean easy if you keep up on it. Its been almost 2 weeks since I did mine and it looks the same as my hood after one day of pollen.

I took someones advice and used Black Magic Tire Foam (Or any other brand). I sprayed it on, waited five minutes then just wiped the engine and hoses down with a couple of rags. It worked great and left a nice shine on the hoses and plastic.

A damp rag with simple green and back to black keeps things nice and clean. Once you get it clean, stay with it.
I wash my car every couple of weeks and make a point of cleaning under the hood every couple of washes.

I used to use tire foam under my hood every time I washed my car. I would spray it on before washing the outside so any over spay would be taken care of when I washed. Always looked pretty good and never had any problems. Engine still looked brand new after 5 years. The stuff also works pretty good in the fender wells to keep them black.

Tire Foam here as well, but lately have been doing the Mustang with foam brushes, rubber and vinyl dressing and compressed air. I will post some photos, have some I took around here somewhere.

A big boat brush does wonders too(the type intended to be mounted on a pole), huge soft bristles you can just rub a dub dub. The brush has a rubber bumper to keep from scratching anything. You can also hit the wheel wells and inside the wheels with the brush too if you have them off for a major detail.
Watch the silicone on the belts if your'e using it.

The engine should be cool and also be careful not to get the fuse box, battery, alternator, and any electronics wet, I recommend just getting a rag with a cleaner, like simple green which people have stated and use that.
