Scratches

I have some small scratches on here and there on my car and small rock chips over the front bumper. Any way to get rid of them without having to re-paint the entire car.?

Late is better than never right! (didn't see this thread till just now)

Anyway, it would help to see some pictures of the damage, especially the scratches to see just how bad things are before we can make suggestions. Also knowing the color of your car would help.

However, in general, I've had good luck with the Dr. ColorChip paint system for repairing rock chips, especially on my silver car, which I think hides imperfections a lot better than say black would.

I agree with "Kevin" without see the problem it is very difficult to suggest you the best solution. Because as you explained there are small scratches on the vehicle then in market thousands of products which are made for the small scratches so I think you should post the photos first its the better idea. Gud luck.

And the gravel dings in the front are pretty minor. Just little nicks.

Does your fingernail catch in the scratches? The typical rule of thumb is that if your nail catches in them they need to be paint work to totally fix, but if your nail doesn't catch than they can be buffed out.

I'd try a product like meguiars scratch X 2.0, which I've had good luck with and is available at local stores first and if that doesn't work for you than you might look into something like Dr. Color Chip to see if you can fill in the damage. If you use scratch x make sure you are using the proper sort of foam pad with it, you wont see any results using a regular wax applicator style pad, it needs a denser 'cutting' foam.

Well I'd definitely try some scratch x 2.0 on the one that's less deep, you should see some significant improvement there.

The deeper one will need some paint work of some kind to fix.

Just curious, but where or how did these occur? From the patterns of the scratches it looks as if a small child with a rock in their hand.............
