recommended wax or polish

Any recommendations for my 2016 Race Red v6 fastback. When I'm ready to wax or polish, what should I use?

Clay bar first! I like Meguires gold class as far as less expensive readily available stuff. I also use paint sealer instead of the wax. It lasts longer than wax. I forget what brand I have currently.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant is nice. Lasts about 6 months.

Collinite 915 is Isa nice durable wax as well

Meguiars Ultimate is right up there too. $20 for a can of paste wax and lasts 4 or 5 months. I've used Gold Class, Ultimate, and the Wolfgang 3.0. Shine wise, I feel like Ultimate and Wolfgang are about the same, although Wolfgang seems to last a little bit longer. Gold class never seemed to get as shiny as Ultimate.

I'll say the clay bar + Wolfgang did an amazing job on my old Race Red Focus, not sure this pic does it justice. I did this in November last year and it was still going strong in March when I waxed it again.

I NEVER use wax on any of my babies. Always a polish.
Zaino bros. polish. Z-2. Works killer and very durable. A little goes a long way.
Good luck! :nice:

This is what I have in the garage also. Paint sealant is just as easy to do as the wax job but does last 6mo or so as opposed to a couple of months for the wax. After applying paint sealant you not supposed to get the car wet for at least 24 hours.

:agree: If my car were not exposed to harsh weather and only saw sun light this would be the way to go.
Seen as mine always gets wet I think it needs to be protected.
My first car only got polished or clay barred. The paint alone shined so nice.

I bought Griot Garage Premium Carbauba Paste Wax during Black Friday Sale and I am very happy with the result. Easy to apply, easy to buff, great shine.
