Ok.

I had an 05 GT hard top, traded it in for a mAZDA 3, and just decided to trade in on a Leftover 05 V6 Vert for under invoice yesterday.

(Pics here if anyone cares http://www.tech-boards.com/index.php...,13974.0.html)

I have a few questions though, is our top Vinyl? And how do you take care of a convertible top? Im a car care nut and dont mind extra work to keep it looking good for a long time, but I've never owned a vert so im not sure where to start, what productes to use etc.

Thanks for the help!

I've owned two GT verts since 2000. The best way to take care of your top is buy Ragg Topp cleaner/protectant. It is amazing. Spray it on, wipe off. It looks like it came off the showroom floor. Do a search on google for Ragg Topp and buy the combo box. $30 bucks, but its worth it.

Long term, keep your vert in a garage or keep it covered.

Second that...

I have been using RaggTopp since a month after I bought the car. 6 months later and the the top looks as good as new.

It is indeed vinyl on the outside. These tops are a three-layer sandwich. Vinyl exterior, sound deadening/insulation matting, and a cloth headliner interior. Nice tops, really.

Mine is garage kept, so I just wash it with a soft brush. And now that the weather is getting nice, the interior is getting MUCH more exposure to the elements than the top!
